It was actually happy hardcore in the NEWER style...

But yeah he rocked the place!

I wasn't too impressed with the first batch of Raver Baby tunes that were released this past year (not my style)...but each release on the label gets better and better and if his set was any indication of what we can expect in the future then the future looks bright indeed!

They were all new choons, yes, but they had breakbeat, which nustyle *BARF* and freeform *doppelbarfen* do not.

I liked. Now if he could only make EVERYONE play breakbeaty synthy happy hardcore, I'd stop whining.

EVERYBODY these days makes synthy happy hardcore!!!

UFO's set was about as "nustyle" as you can get.
Alot of the new tracks that are getting released these days have breakbeat breakdowns. I think the one unique characteristic that UFO had was that his set was ACTUALLY happy! More proper HAPPY choons need to be released...If you noticed Frisky's set was really happy too...had more breakeats than UFO...and was almost all upfront new material.

The future is looking bright...but the record labels can't release tunes fast enough.

And yes freeform is pretty yuck (unless spun by the right dj)...

i thought UFO kicked a lot of ass.
a lot of faves, (future set and alternative just to name a few) and some new shit that knocked my socks off (like the second track he played with what sounded like mc storm doing the vocal. oh baby!)
