Cell phone coverage at wemf
will my fido cell phone have service at wemf? does anyone who went last year remember what cell phone companies have coverage at the wemf site?

when i went to florida my fido worked
it depends on your handset though, mines a 3390 or somthing i think |

Fido phones are all on the GSM network ... there is NO GSM network coverage anywhere up there.
 Last year, I had a dual band phone (Digital PCS and Analog) and I got no PCS reception, but very very very intermittent Analog reception. Ie: my phone would ring, and in the span of moving it from my pocket (where it was getting reception) to my ear... it lost reception. It's all about finding the right place to stand at the WEMF site. If you have a really strong analog phone, you might be ok. --Jeff |

Last year up at WEMF my phone worked without a problem
I've got a nokia and its under Rogers. I think the bigger the company the better the reception cause they have got more satelites or something like that |

my rogers analog phone sorta worked last year... kinda like what wolf said, its all about getting that sweet spot
 i have a gsm phone on rogers now, it says that i have coverage in the area where wemf is on their website...
