Diabetes needles & getting into paties/wemf
I have a friend that has Diabetes and he wants to go to wemf, but he needs to take his medicine with needles.
I doubt that they will let him in with his needles, so i was wondering if anyone knows what happens, or if there are any special procedures, or if he's straight outta luck? Thanx

i would imagine if he brought a perscription and all his medication was labeled that it would not be a problem
or if worse comes to worse...tell him to keep it in the car if parking is onsite he should have no problem sneaking it in if parking is off site he can just leave it there and go to the car when he needs a shot |

Well I guess we could keep it in the car but that all depends on how far we'd have to walk, if he needs it he needs it.........and staceys does make a point that the car may be too hot to keep it in.
I dont know a whole lot about it, but i know he has it with him all the time in his bag and he takes it at different times, thanx for tryin' to help out! |

I am diabetic too,..
Although I have never been to WEMF. But usually I just bring a doctors note, and all my medication in labled it okay. But make sure that he had a nate and that EVERYTHING MUST be labeled, he should be okay to bring it in. Although from time to time I do get hasseled and have to keep it in the car. It depends on securtiy. Good luck, the best thing is to e-mail them, or wait and see what Frolic has to say. Leah

Dont be afraid to email them again. They probably get swamped with emails and special requests all the time so its probably likely that you were over looked.
Keep msging them untill they respond. Im sure there shouldn't be a problem. The dilema sounds pretty reasonable. |

gotcha!
Our policy is that as long as you have a prescription and letter from your doctor its ok to bring the item in. In some circumstances you may be required to deposit an item with the Medical Tent which will be operating 24hrs a day - you will be informed of this when you get to the gate.

HI! does this count for all prescriptions, or just ones involving needles? every girl on birth control pills had an issue last year. (like you could really re-seal your b.c. package after swapping 'em with ecstacy, asinine security people) people couldn't even bring in their allergy meds or HEART meds, like one poor kid in front of me. and I have asthma, so I need my inhalor. all my meds are clearly marked as prescription, which didn't help last year, but the year before was fine. hope this year's security will be a little more knowledgeable about this stuff! (or at least our cars will be a little closer to get our stuff?) thanks! katie |

You guys should make sure the MedCentre has a couple EpiPens... just in case.
I just took a two-day First Aid/CPR course for work

^^can that happen?
my boyfriend is actually really allergic to bees and doesn't have health insurance right now so I don't think he can get a new epipen before wemf... will they really have extras just in case?
katie <---- would feel a whole lot better the whole time. |
