The unofficial WEMF poetry/haiku thread

Here are a couple of haikus/a poem I came up with that capture the spirit of WEMF

Haikus
--------

String of metal cars
Three hours of life vanished
For those who came late

Massive tent city
Warped maze of raving campers
Rain streams out rave goo

Pulsing beat thunders
Invading my very sleep
Next time bring ear plugs

Free verse dedicated to the inflatable couches
------------------------------------------------------

We were set outside by two jaded movers
They smoked cigars while transporting us
They set me down without a care
The ground was lumpy

Morning became afternoon
Ravers gathered outside
Guards were checking to make sure no one would harm us.
Pointy objects could kill me

A raver named Ben sat on me
He proved to his girlfriend how strong I was by bouncing his ass on me 400 times
If only Ben could see my tears
Would he still bounce on me if I were to cry?

The music began, people left me alone for a while
I tried to move towards the sound, but was strapped down by my own design
If only free will could be my shape
Maybe next year

Midnight has come
Four rowdy mother fuckers have hoisted me over their heads and are carrying me
My destination is unknown
At least they're not smoking

I am now in the main tent
They have confused me with a beach ball
Will they ever get tired of bouncing me?
I wish I knew karate

Their arms have tired
I am now being sat on by a baker's dozen
I was made to hold 10 people
Do people not read the flyer?

Someone has punctured me
My lifeforce has escaped
I am at the gates of heaven
The bouncy castle greets me

Haiku

Trance, house, breaks, oh my!
Jungle, hardcore, make me smile!
WEMF is where it's at.

Thrills, spills, chills, and fun.
Rain stay home, and give us sun!
This is the best yet.

Why am I rhyming?
After all, it's just Haiku.
Ah well... no big deal.

Damn, it's catching....
