So it was a great rally. People represented
(I was at home with athsma)but on my way to my shitty data entry job, after applying for my courses and other bullshit, I picked up a copy of metro and read: METROFACTS-POLICE CHARGES AT CITY HALL "RAVE" ON TUESDAY: -Five men and one youth: possession of marijuana -One man: possession of marijuana for the purposes of trafficking -One 15 yr old female: Possession of crystal methamphetamine for the purposes of trafficking -One female: Possession of ketamine for the purposes of trafficking Im not sayin it wasnt a good rally, and maybe im bitter because I was sick and couldn't go, but if anyone from council picked up a copy of metro this morning, we may have a tougher fight on our hands than we thought. I dont remember anyone saying it would be easy to credit the scene...there will always be a drug arrest or two...but hey...the same goes at concerts and shit...they just dont publish it.
It wont be easy...itll be hard as hell, but I think if we all work together, we can beat this thing...maybe. Meh... Min. |

That was quite expected. Some dealers are so ignorant that they don't care what cause the event is for, they just want to capitalize.

Deus - Riiiight....riiiight....tru dat.
That is obvious...sad tho...if I was a dealer, I would goto a function like that and support to save the scene you make so much money from...thats what after parties are for right? Jokes or trixters? Min. [This message has been edited by Min (edited August 03, 2000).] |

well, people are fucking stupid, all over.
sometimes their stupidity affects my life, and thats when i have a problem. but yes, they are just looking to make money. those arrests will be used against us, but it's unlikely it will amount to much, really. |

and of course naturally the media leaves out the fact that out of the 20 000 people who showed up only 8 were caught with narcotics. 8 out of 20 000.
and most of it was pot. its gonna be legalized in like a year anyway. |
