Toronto Cops Taser Man's Eye
...and I wanted to move to Toronto Now where am I going go to run away from 'freedom'.
Summary: The Special Investigations Unit has been called in after a taser's hook-like prongs embedded in a man's eye and then delivered a blast of electricity during a domestic disturbance. Another good question might be: what the hell are "Toronto the Good's" police officers doing with Tasers? Full Text |

Tasers have been part of an MTPD officer's equipment for some time.

the police cheif put it kinda like this, a few years ago, the only alternative they had to subdue a unreasonable suspect was with a firewarm. now at least, most people sustain much less injury...

yeah. Depends on the situation as always, but yeah. At least they don't have to shoot a fool in the leg or anything anymore.
Tazers rock if used properly. (which in this case, there was an honest mistake), they shouldn't get in trouble for something that NEVER happens, happening once. Accidents happen. If it happens while preventing something bad that wasn't an accident, I hardly see the problem. Karma can be a bitch.
