Robin Frolic

Gavin (that's our almost-three-year-old son) has gotten into making candy bracelets. He's going to be "selling" bracelets at our party, in exchange for donations to Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children.

Gavin won't be in the party itself, he'll just be working the line outside (with me and an assistant) sometime between 8pm and 10pm. He'll have a bucket of bracelets and a donation can, so if you want to support a good cause, please bring along an extra dollar or two to buy one of the bracelets. He's been making bracelets for a couple months now and we've got a couple more months to go, so it's possible we'll have 100-200 bracelets. I've set a tentative goal of $250 in donations, so hopefully we can make this happen!

LOL - it's up to him, he has a pretty short attention span. If he was a couple years older I'm sure we'd be able to make lots more, but when you're dealing with an almost-three-year old, you're lucky to get one bracelet done per day!

it's a shame he wasn't this age a few years back when Hulla was doing events on a bi-monthly basis.

Just think about all those annoying fund-raisers you get from school. Selling chocolates, cookies, and whatnot. He'd have the top sales in the school for a good 2 hours of work before an event!

lol. i was the same way. i had to wear what i picked out myself. and my mom will still complain if you bring up my ugly multi-colored sneakers. i wore them with everything from like kingergarten thru first. not much has changed tho. my color coordination skills have greatly improved, but most of the time i still just look like a rainbow threw up on me

I just got new sneakers. They're black-and-white checkered with a wavy pink stripe across the side. They're so girly ska, I love them. (Okay, that was totally off-topic. But since you mentioned sneakers, ya know...)
