Days Inn at 30 Carlton street is the most popular place for hullabalooers to stay with the Marriot comming in at a close second. I would also recomend the Bond Place hotel. It's fairly cheap and is a very short walk to the mall and the rest of downtown.

Hotel prices do seem to be going up in toronto. i think we use to get a room at the days inn for around $100 canadian a few years ago. Now it's more like $140. That coupled with the narrowing exchange rate gap and high gas prices is making it much more expencive to go to good olde toronto from the states.

There are always the bath houses... Once again, although the Doubletree Hotel is somewhat a ways from downtown, they still have reasonable prices if you book directly through their website. |

My bf and I are staying at the Fairmont. From mapquest, it was like 2.something miles away from the venue. Possibly walking distance?
I have no clue! I've never been to Toronto before! LOL! If not walking distance, then I hope there is public transportation back and fourth! |

there is good public transportation. However, I usually take a cab everywhere around toronto. they are relatively inexpencive and easy to catch in most areas. Just make sure you know where you are going and how to get there. It amazing how unfarmiliar many of the cab drivers are with the city.

Only in some areas, check the schedules and stuff to make sure. Also, 2 miles i guess could be walking distance, but 500 miles could be walking distance if you had the time, its up to you!
