There was a little too much time between last weekend and april 17th to have flyers out for that long so we decided to allow some breathing room. We WERE supposed to have a poster of the front of the new flyer posted at hulla for all to see on the way out (it's got a wicked theme) but there was a screw up with the poster and we couldn't put it up as it was.

Anyhoo, I'm opening up this new forum though to allow people to have a spot to discuss it. All the talent is pretty much set, so we're not taking requests, but you'll have to wait a few more weeks to hear who will be playing.

Just a question: Who comes up with the title of these Hulla parties? Is there like some sort of process involved or do you coordinate with the people who design the flyers? Just curious.

We usually kick some ideas around, and try to work with something that might inspire a cool flyer. Sometimes it's named after a popular hardcore song, othertimes not. I came up with Accelerator as a synonym for "energized", I was trying to come up with something energetic like that, but didn't want to name the party after our headliner even though it was somewhat inspired by him.

The name Sail Away came after the original idea for the next hulla was conceived. It ties in with what we have planned, and also happens to be a hardcore tune.

After 33 parties, it can get difficult coming up with something new and different each time, and still keeping it within the realm of what works as a Hulla.

Okay, I'm trying to figure out the names of the other 33 parties. I'm only up to 18, but it looks like Funtopia was used a time or two before (Birthday Funtopia 2) Does anyone have a list they can post??

Is Sail Away the 33rd or 34th???

I LOVE the name of this party! Just hearing it got me soooo much more pumped! Sail Away was one of the first hhc tunes that I listened to before my first party to get me excited (and there was only a few). I have a feeling this party is going to be a really special one.
