Question a ride from nyc?

in a few weeks i'm going to be moving to nyc for school... i figure its never to early to start looking for a ride... i'll definitly don't want to miss this party! it'll be the first time i'll get to see alot of my friends from home since i've gone to school too.

so if anyone in the nyc area would be willing to drive me, i'd love them forever. i'd chip in gas money and bring food and whatnot. and even better, i have tons of friends in toronto becuase i went to school there last year, so if we were spending the night, as long as you didnt mind sleeping in a sleeping bag on my friend's floor i could more than likely get us a free place to stay... (yay for saving money!)

so, if any one wants to help me out, you can reply here, pm me, or whatever floats your boat

also, i was prolly going to be going to 'afraid of the dark?' on october 31st as my first nyc party, so if any fellow hullaboarders were planning on attending, drop me a line, perhaps we can meet up or soemthing. thanks

hmm, well, checking my map...

Detroit to NYC: 614 miles
NYC to Toronto: 491 miles
Detroit to NYC to Toronto(Approx.): 1105 miles

if yer driving at the assumed speed of 65, you only need to stay awake for eighteen hours of drive time, plus however much you blow on gas stops, getting lost, getting found, etc... should be doable in under a day.

Yeah.. the Subaru's look pretty nice.. the Impreza WRX STi is a pretty sweet ride, especially in a blue body and with the gold rims. Only problem is that I keep seeing alot of Impreza's in Toronto with the same setup.. .. (but Blue is my favorite color and I love those gold rims so there :P ) But a stock BMW M3 can still push 333 hp @ 7900 rpm versus 300 hp @ 6000 rpm on the Impreza WRX STi.. although the M3 has six gears versus the WRX STi five and the WRX is still waaaay less expensive..

Cavaliers are fun.. I got my license on a 1990 Cavalier.. they last pretty long. Now if only I had a decent ride there.. :/

Nice.. a purple metallic STi would be a pretty sick ride. What color rims would you get with that tho? Its weird.. I am so used to seeing STi's with blue bodies and gold rims that I can't imagine it as anything else anymore *lol*

Oh my god.. I just checked the driving time on Yahoo Maps from here to The Opera House.. turns out I'm only 3 minutes away (or 1.4 miles according to Yahoo Maps) *lol*...

I think I am gonna scope it out and see what its like before the actual event.. but are they playing anything else there before Enchanted?

as far as the opera house, i know nothing. lol

but with the metallic purple STi, i would so have super shiny chrome rims, and the brakes and insides of the car would be custom yellow and shit...it'd be the illist ride eva!!!

Well I have two friends from New York who I am trying to get to come to this event.. so if they do they might be able to get you there too.. it all depends if they come or not :/ But if I get any word from them I will tell you ASAP.

Honestly if worst comes to worst, and if I get a car that week, I wouldn't mind driving all the way down there to pick you up.. it would be a crazy detour but it would make for a fun road trip

Yeah I totally wanna do some crazy things with the rims of my car and the seats and brakes and such.. but I'd also want a blinging audio system so I can play some DJ Shadow - Mashin' On The Motorway while i'm actually mashin' on the motorway *lol*.

I don't know if I could make that kind of crazy detour!! I really would and if i hear something, i'll let you know.
so far i have 2 seats taken (probably...not definite yet) that means prolly only 1 (2 if ya wanna be squished) left. i'd like to ride out w/ someone from michigan or near here...

Can you get to New Rochelle around 8 in the morning on the 6th? I'll be picking up a friend of mine around then, and then heading up.

As for Afraid fo the Dark, I do intend to be there.
