So my mommy wants to come...
My mom wants to come to this Hulla, but she has plans to go out with friends in Toronto, but she might come if plans get cancelled!
She thinks she'll look ridiculous there, but divingFaces and I know that we'll be able to play dress-up with her and she'll look fine! Not only will this be an awesome party for her to come to, but I'm trying to use the whole "For my b-day, just come to Hulla!" hehe, not working too well though. But she said that if she doesn't go to Hulla, she'll go to the next party! hehe, so.... she might go, and if you see us standing with our mommy, you better come say "Hi" to OUR hulla-virgin!!!!! Can't wait!!!!! 10 days!!!!!! Krys: what are you wearing?

I can only dream that my parents would be cool enough with the whole party thing that I would tell them where I'm really going...i can't even begin to imagine trying to convince them to come! I'll come and give your mom a big hullahug just for being so awesome

i think your mom being super cool about hulla is awesome, but i can't help feel weird with adults around. i've seen some dressed up at parties and they just look.....well, uncomfortable. sorry i'm not being unplurry on the outside, it's just how i feel on the inside and again i still think if your mom is gung ho for it, then good for her

haha.. i almost conned my mom into coming once as a joke..
then she though she'd call my bluff and come.. she even told me she bough tickets and everything.. she showed me her Visa statement with Ticketweb on it... it ended up she bought tickets to another event from ticketweb.. but it was funny as hell my mom would be great.. anyone who knows her would agree!

I know what you mean though, I'd be a little weirded out with my mom there, but if she wants to see what it's about I would be okay with it. If I'm not mistaken, I believe Frolic's mom has attended previously. Right around the time she made a guest appearance on Happy Hour! |

My mom came to A View to a Thrill back in '99. Robin gave her a couple of glowsticks and she danced on stage for my entire set. She had never seen what I did before for a living (she doesn't live in Toronto). She had a blast. A few of the ravers took it upon themselves to be her escorts through the building and she was really impressed how friendly everyone was. She still talks glowlingly of the experience when asked about it.

I don't know if you neccessarily want your parents to come party with you, but I've always felt Hulla was a good event to let a parent walk through the building a take a look at what's going on, if only to dispell what the media has told them about raves.

Our mommy has wanted to come for a while, but only NOW is she actually talking seriously about it! hehe,
Today in the backyard, she was talking with my dad about their plans with their friends on July 5th, and my dad said "well I don't know, isn't that the night of Hulla?" and she just said, well if plans get changed, I'm thinking about going! That's greeeeeeat! Oh and Donovan, yah you really creep me out, you're too old to be partying with the youngins! You Sicko!!!! |
