Excellent night. Thanks to everyone who came out.

I knew a week ago that we were going to have trouble with attendance due to SARS, especially with our usual strong American attendance, but there wasn't much I could do about it so we went ahead full steam. I chose not to cut back on the production, since my goal with every Hulla is to be the best it can be, and tonight's lighting rig was awesome I thought. Not to mention an extra dedicated lighting tech who rode the music giving it even more impact.

I'm really pleased it worked out as well as it did, and appreciate the support of everyone who was there.

Next Hulla is on July 5th which will be our anniversary (6 years - wow!) so we will see you then I hope .

I'm not afraid of someone as trivial as SARS, nothing was going to prevent me from going, not even Easter. And I can safely say, that was one of the best hullas ever, each set, all on their own, was superb, found myself dancing most of the night... was late to the hullaboard meet cuz I just had to dance for a while to SOS, and i just danced after that till I just couldnt anymore... Cant say I met too many people... just some guy that looked like Keron.. and Spunn that come to mind.. I think I saw Carl walking about.. and I know I saw Q-Pid in the washroom... I was just so tired/hot to say anything... though I'm sure I'll remember more when I get some sleep... ahhhh nothing like a Sunday morning... no birds chirping... to traffic noise.... just ears ringing and bass booming at the back of my brain.... with a not-so-bad throat, with the help of the mighty hot chocolate. I had a blast.... weeeeeeeeeee I wish it were July 5th today

Ok wow. Chris, it seems like your parties just keep getting better and better. Even with the sub-maximum capacity turnout, there was a truly profound community vibe shining out of each and every sticky raver face.
Dougal...unbelievable. The only time I'd seen him spin previously was at ATM (the second best party I've ever attended) and he was every bit as mind blowing at this latest performance as he was back then.
Jumper, Gobstoppa, and Kwik, had superb nights. It's always a pleasure to see those boys in action.
Frolic, your set rawked in a characteristically Frolic fashion...I don't think it's possible for you to disapoint.
I didn't get the chance to stay for Frisky's set (I withstood the sucking powers of trance for as long as I could, then gave up and left) but D-Minus's set was off the hook! His was my favorite set of the night besides Dougal's; the beats matched, the vocals weren't cut out constantly and stupidly (as is wont to happen with drunk Donny, sorry), and the selection was fabulous as always.
Silver's set didn't really do it for me, but I'm an anthems kind of guy. I totally disagree with the set time Silver was given, having D-Minus or Frisky spin at that particular time slot would have really resulted in a party of even vaster uh...kicking ass.
The trance was shit...but it's trance so it's not like I was expecting anything.
Security was fucking great. All of them real friendly and understanding, but doing their jobs at the same time. The black dude on stage was the best, making sure the stage wasn't being over-run with e-tards, but being cool to those of us that weren't fucking about up there. In the past, certain Opera House security have been complete assholes, but their sunny demeanor last night almost makes up for all that.
And last, the success of this party owes largely to the ultra-wicked Hulla crowd. I ran into NO assholes, met tons of happy, smiling, oblivious people, and totally forgot about reality for a good 7 hours.
Congradulations Frolic, congradulations DJs, Opera House, and all party kids in attendance. Last night is what it's all about. Say what you want about the degeneration of the scene, but nights like last are without a doubt my favorite part of life.

PS. Normally I try to avoid writing positive posts around here, but a high-callibre Hulla party as this one just seems to bring out the twink in me. Happy Hulla.

Either way, the last hulla I attended was Hulla 14 i think!? In Feb of 2000... So I'm overdue, I haven't even been to a party since Wemf 2001..

Okay, a quick sum up:

I would best describe this party as "just another party" if you know what i mean. It was not horrible.. but at the same time not amazing.

I do think that the party was very well planned, the lights and sounds were amazing

i just felt the vibe i got out of it was nothing out of the ordinary

on one hand, i would have loved to have an extremly amazing time.. but this is better then having it bad

i came to the party.. already tried as can be at 12:00. I met some awesome people for the first time in person. and saw many "old-faces"

the party was fun, and i do not in the least bit regret going.. i mean i have been waiting since well.. the anthems to here frisky finish the night with my fav song. CHILDREN OF THE NIGHT <3!

okay i will try to remember the people i met: sorry if i miss anyone.. i am extremly tired

Everything went soooo smoothly! Sound was top notch ... vibe was wikked .. beer was flowing .. dj's were spot on .. couldnt really ask for anything more!

It was great seeing alot of familar faces turning out for this party .. and meeting alot of new ones too!

Great job done by Chris and Robin! .. Can't wait for the next one!

That party was off the hook!!! I had a blast!
I was worried I wasnt gonna be aloud in but I got in no problem and the night just got better and better as it steamed along!

I missed Jory's set *tear* but I caught the last half of Ruffage that was prety sweet.

D-Minus!!!! He spun 3 seconds of Elysium at the begining and at the end of the set, you FUCKING TEASE YOU!!!!

Awsome sets from everyone else! I danced my ass off. And the lighting set up was amazing!!!

Holy shit I saw so many friends last night!! Met a bunch of new people, Ive stopped doing the whole shout out thing because I allways forget one person so to the whole Hullaboard Crew, thanks for making it an awsome party!!!
