*** iDANCE 2001 reviews ***
Post 'em here
just came back myself, what a beautiful day . We brought Foo with us as well with his raver outfit on and he was a big hit. Thought the set with frisky went really well but poor e-by-gum's voice was completely gone. |

I had a ball...
Although that Montreal/German guy's set didn't get good until the last 2 tracks, and the fashion show stuff was kind of annoying, I guess I can always ask for my money back, right? hehe It's nice to see that Frolic has won back the love of the masses (some peeps a while back were slagging him for a plethora of reasons, but that seems to be gone, woo hoo!), and the Frolic vs. Frisky set blew the place up... it was AWWESOME... I went nuts when Eyeopener came on, and Children of the night was a fitting last track. The breakdancing show was great... I was never even close to being that good when I was a breaker... I left early, so I missed the headliners, but a good time was had by most... WOOP! MCED |

Meh
Well, it was nice to see everyone and Jelo's set was orgasmic but that's about all I have to say about this day.

idance was smting ....i think it even made up for last years that i couldnt attend so it makes it all worth while. The sound was mgood, the lites were smting too, ive never seen nathan philips square look so beautiful before. ppl were really nice (not all) but thats always the case. Dave the drummer made me go KRAZZYYY his last acid track was just in place.... mmm acidy goodness . The chuppa chup gurls were really kool too. both were HOT!
Anyway .. i thank everyone who made this idance possible.. and i think it was a perfect party to finish off the summer! -=Smîxë=- |

Eh... I don't want to come down hard on a free event and all... but the main reason I was there (the music... dnb in particular) was a huge letdown. I did miss Mystical & Marcus, however... Flipside and Freaky flow... who actually likes these guys? I sure don't. Flipside should not be allowed anywhere near a microphone. He's totally clueless. ("Hey, look at me! I can freestyle! Do you know what *freestyling* means?")
Andy C's set was pretty good, and the sound system was pretty killer (nearer the speakers, that is), but... I must say, Bodyrock is the worst track ever created in the history of jungle music. Why does anyone listen to this song? It's done in a swing beat. That isn't jungle. I have a rythm pattern on my old casio300 from the 80's which sounds almost identical. And according to one of my friends, the track is supposed to be hot shit in the UK and, subsequently, over here. What the fuck. Sorry to come off as overly negative, it WAS a free event, much was accomplished, and the techno/breaks acts I was able to catch were actually rather good. But I was just so dissapointed in the music I came to hear and enjoy. -Adam |

for the record "pancing is not a crime" was my 'modified' sticker
also did anyone see any of the signs I made? one was a toilet bowl and it said "don't let our culture go down the toilet" and another one was a big boot and it said "stop giving us the boot" there were some other one's that I can't think of right now, but I was looking for those signs but didn't see them |

I had a good time. I took it easy @ iDance.. I wiggled my bum for a little bit, but spent most of my time talking to people I thought fell of the face of the earth! between the pre-party, iDance and after party, I had a wikked weekend (although i was up from 10am saturday, till 10am monday with ZERO sleep)! I thought the majority of the sets were good, and thanks to frolic and frisky for the anthems you don't hear all that often. Did anyone buy a card thingy from that dead lady? lol, between me and my 2 friends, we must have gave her alteast 10 in change, as she was walking away, Lol, my friend softly said "good bye" and she turned around and waved What about those iDance cd's, were they 10 or 15 ?? I could of sworn the the boothe people said 10, but this blonde walking around selling said 15! was she scamming or getting paid to sell them? I guess I have seen it all this weekend!
I must now sleep some more Jay |

Well I dunno I had an okay time at iDance. Like most of you i didn't dance much, just stood and wiggled my butt a bit. Saw MANY of my old buds there. Made a few new ones. And so on and so forth.....
I was being dragged here and there by Casper or Shane. Kinda trying to avoiding my ex (still not on good terms). But other then that it was a pretty fun day. OH AND THANKS AGAIN KYLE FOR THE CYOTE, It made my day and night!!!!! lol. Anime .X. |

i really liked Czech's set. But DAVE The Drummer stole the show. Andy C's set seemed pretty short, but it was good while it lasted. Not a big fan of Caddy Cad tho
