You bring up a few good points though, although I agree with few of them. Elitists have no place in parties (does that statement make me elitist too?) it's all about PLUR, and elitism seems to me just the opposite.

Clubs do have all sorts of shitty rules. Ever been to the Ritz? It's shit. The music is sorta kinda ok, but everyone is so cookie cutter, and stuck on themselves, you can't dance without getting stared down for dancing differently than their head bobbing and arm swinging.

I'm bitter too.

the problem with elitism is that it's arbitrary and unfounded.

people party for a few months, deem themselves elite and go around judging people like me for not wearing the official raver-uniform of week 38, 2001, or for not dancing in the style-of-the-month, or for not standing the right way or something.

i've said before that i realized at the beginning that i loved this scene (and i guess i still do... *that* scene, not this one) and decided it was long term. i wanted to be elite.

and you know what i did?

i didnt buy fiction officers, or a damned mecca jersey or ecko hoodie or gold chain or whatever makes you elite.

i read books, i listened to tracks, memorized the names, i read about hardware, i read about history, culture, ideals.

i dont think necessarily that it makes me *elite*, it just makes me knowledgable. in a perfect world, everyone would know these things. evidently, i don't know enough. but..this is how it works.

It's not just politics that have a problam whith ravers, it's other sub cultures(or mabey it's just my area of t.o.)!
If your a raver in the beaches of Toronto, then your going to be robred, beetin ect(unless you have an older bro who there scared of ha ha)!
All of those thugs who listen to EMINEM, and JA RULE hate ravers, and they think were all "dumb fags"!
Just today I had to fight one of them off whith a base ball bat ya I know what your thinking but it's not realy a bad area of the city, it's just there all spoialled brats!
