Entering canada- arrest record
Ok, I don't have any convictions other than minor traffic issues. Couple parking tickets, a too fast for conditions and missing a stop sign. That shouldn't be a problem right?
The one thing I see possibly being an issue is two arrests. One for driving on a suspended license(bounced check to replace a lost license), another for failure to appear on that charge. I have not been convicted, and the deal with the prosecutor was to nolle them, so they will automatically be dismissed in just under a year from now provided I don't get arrested again. This isn't probation, but it isn't a dismissal of charges(yet), they just aren't prosecuting it at all unless I get arrested again. If it matters, both charges are misdemeanors. edit- and yes, my license has been restored, which was the main reason those charges were nolled. |

there is a link in there with information. When we went over the border in March, we didn't get turned away even though my boyfriend had an arrest on his record for stealing a street sign. I don't know if they just didn't care, or if for some reason it didn't show up... but I might be a little concerned with your record.

I'd guess driving infractions are OK. it's the DUI and drug felonies that people have trouble with, although driving across the border I'd say there's a good chance you'd just get waved through because they can't check everyone.

UGH you're obviously a criminal. you're not the type we want to see at Hullabaloo. it is for the pure of heart and soul. sell your tickets and stay home.

Looks from that that I should be OK.... the site linked in that other post says "convicted of"... Since I haven't been convicted, and I'm not out on bail, I shouldn't have a problem there. Last time I was looking this up I had found the actual law online... wish I could remember where I saw that...

DUI is the big one for sure. I'm making my outfit and getting ready as if I'm going. If they don't let me in, what can I do? Not a fucking thing but be thankful I've been to Hulla before and be bummed out

I was also under the understanding that it was your convictions that were trouble. If you weren't convicted (not to mention the fact that its being dismissed) you probably won't have trouble.
