If it's your first trip to Canada, definately take in the culture as much as possible.
It's not a massive change from England as far as I'm concerned, but it definately will be different.

here's a list of things no tourist should miss:
- St. Lawrence market
- Niagra Falls
- Canada's Wonderland (although, its not really a big deal imo)
- CN Tower
- Ontario Science Center
- Club district of Toronto on a Saturday night (nothing quite like it)
- Toronto street meat
- ROM (Royal Ontario Museum)
- Ontario Place / Toronto Island (for an afternoon visit)
- Rogers Center/Skydome (Get $10 Jays tickets in the nosebleeds)

i just checked the Jay's schedule and they are out of town for the entire week you are here... which totally sucks.. other than that, the other major leauge teams in Toronto aren't playing a home game during that timeframe.

Although, here's a good estimation on what each costs...

St. Lawrence market
- it's basically a big market for food.. it's free entrance, but you'll probably end up buying foods and meats there.. they have some SERIOUS pepperoni sticks and whatnot.

Niagra Falls
- HUGE tourist attraction. you'll spend about $40 for a return bus ticket on Greyhound (the bus service), or you can take the casino shuttle which is cheaper (i think). While there, you can just browse around, which is basically free, or you can buy stuff at the shops, go into all the attractions and whatnot and you'll end up spending a lot of cash real quick. There's tons of shit like Haunted Houses, mazes, a Ripley's Believe It Or Not place, and umpteen other things to do. It's truely a long day there.

Canada's Wonderland
- $50/person admission i think for a daypass. You'll have to take the bus up there as well, which will cost $15 or $20 round trip most likely... ive never done it. (or find someone to drive you and go as a group!). There's tons of amusement rides, rollercoasters, and a shitload of things to do. Bring your own lunch if you can, as food is quite expensive (and shitty) there. They have a waterpark if you so should choose to check it out as well.

CN Tower
- no clue on costs now, but last i checked it was like $30-$40 per person to go up, get the view, see all the attractions at the top of the tower. Truely, I havent been up in YEARS even though i live right here, but i think it's over-rated.

Ontario Science Center
- lots of fun - i think it's $20 entrance or so? TONS of stuff to see and do there. IF you do go, think of this.. .in 1999 and 2000 there was raves thrown in there.

Club district of Toronto on a Saturday night (nothing quite like it)
- you'd have to see and experience this to understand.. its just people EVERYWHERE. Nothing like a rave in any way.. the streets are lined with club goers all over the place. If you're looking to go club hopping, most places have a mix of house/RnB/Hip Hop/Reggae and Trance/Techno most nights. Cover charges at clubs vary depending on who's there that night.. generally $5-$20 cover charge.

Toronto street meat & other food places
- you'll hit one sooner or later. the street vendors that sell hot dogs. Seriously.. the food of gods. They cost anywhere from $1.00 - $3.00 per hot dog depending on the vendor. Seriously... best hot dogs ever. Also check out Naz's Falaffal Hut (for Shwarma) and the Burrito Boys. GREAT drunk food.

ROM (Royal Ontario Museum)
- if you're into history/museums and that kinda stuff, this place is wild. Full displays of everything you could think of.. Dinosaurs, the whole bit. Depending on the time of year, they have differnet specialty displays. Awesome to check out, and i think it's relatively cheap. - $15?

Ontario Place / Toronto Island (for an afternoon visit)
- Toronto island is a great place to go in the afternoon. You can walk around and bask on the beaches, or check out the tourist area on the island with some small rides and whatnot. (Rides cost extra). It's a great place to go to enjoy the sun and weather. The ferry is $5/person I think.

I've never been to canada, I can't wait1 I wanna check out all the stuff! I guess in all actuality be a tourist. Oh well it'll be fun!!

Wow, it all sounds so great! are they all easy to get too? Quite near to downtown toronto? thats where i'm staying.

most of them are pretty close to downtown or at least have really frequent TTC (Toronto Transit) access. All with the exception of wonderland which is a bit out of the way (I think its in Vaughn), but still get-to-able.

I hope you like the CN-tower, even if you don't go in it, you should go to the base of it and look straight up (which costs nothing )! It's pretty amazing!

i would love to! However, I don't actually live IN Toronto, just sort of close to it (an hour drive, in a city called Waterloo). I think I might get a hotel even for hulla... just so i can see the movie on friday haha.

Anyways, I tend to get lost sometimes in toronto, due to my less than stellar sense of direction haha. BUT, if I'm around friday, saturday before the pre-meet we could round some people up and go wandering hehe.

Anyways, your best bet is probably someone local to the city, they know all the little nooks and crannies!
