I've been reading up on the legislation that was passed in Calgary. Its really interesting because it was inspired by what was going on in Toronto, but the regulations are alot more reasonable than the ones proposed in Toronto. Take a look. the first article is on the Calgary EMS website:
http://www.gov.calgary.ab.ca/EMS/med/med_rave.htm and check this one out as well. It talks about the inspiration from Toronto. http://www.theahl.com/Health0006/06_raves.html DJ_Swiss |

I played in Calgary a couple of weeks ago, and asked the promoters about whats been going on. It turns out their rules and regulations are so restrictive it's near impossible to throw a party nowadays. There are only TWO venues than can be used. They also have to hire a lot of pay-duties and ambulance and stuff. problem is, the average party there is 1000 or less.
