Hi all!

Me and my bloke are coming over from the UK for the last ever Hullabaloo and I can't wait!!! I'm admitting to not knowing so much about the Canadian dj's so can anyone give me recommendations and info on what to expect??
I've been told that D minus is one not to be missed in terms of mixing ability somewhere between the UK's Brisk and SY!- wicked

I'd also love to shop for ravewear beforehand so if anyone can recommend Toronto shopping for this purpose i'd really appreciate it...

wow, another hulla with UK ravers! There is gong to be more drum and bass at this party for some reason, DO NOT MISS ANABOLIC FROLICS 2 HOUR LONG SET, it will be insane for obvious reasons. Umm... the venue might be smaller than what you are used to in the uk, it can only hold 850 people so hopefully you are ok with that. I'm not sure that there is alot of ravewear stores, but there might be i dunno, i think 2theBeat has some clothes, but I don't remember.

What hotel are u staying at ? would love to meet up with some UK ravers... are u coming to the preparty?

anyway as for DJ's... definately don' t miss Frolic's 2hr history lessson... cuz that is gonna educate us all =) and i would also recommend silver1's set. his track selection is usually phenominal.. and always makes me smile... as for a great break in the night.. subsonic chronic spins some badass oldskool trance that night... it should be Binary Finary-licious... YUMMY woop... and then of corse Dminus is just crazy.. and is one not to be reckoned with...


so there ya have it... enjoy ... all my opinion of corse...

as for shopping for raver gear... good luck.. not from toronto so i can't help u ... but would love to give ya a kandi ... hopefully we'll meet up at some point that weekend...

WAHEY!!! welcome to hulla! i would say definitely be amped to see all the djs cuz its the last time they'll ever all play under the same roof with the amazing vibe that is hulla. yes dminus, mixing skills are dope, frisky as well....def don't miss frolic or silver 1 and well just about everyone else too....
im not from toronto, but numb on queen *as previously mentioned* has some cool stuff.....
hopefully we can run into you guys some time!

I've heard some fantastic things about the atmosphere at Hulla, one of my mates came over last year and made us thoroughly jealous... so we just had to make the trip for the last ever!

Staying at the best western somethingorother(!) hotel downtown toronto for the weekend until the following tuesday (hopefully will have recovered by then...) We're not going to the pre-party but will be at Hulla as early as possible... more than likely be wearing my old-skool 'charlie kitten' yellow jacket on the night so if u see me come and say hello!

Yeah prices here for clothing mighty be way more than you except in the UK espcially for raver gear lol...

I might just have to drag y'all out of the crowd for a while... whether you're up for it or not!

As for DJ's, Frolic's set will be an emotional mf'er for sure... but I'd say watch out for DJ Frisky... he's not only a bomb diggidy producer, but he's utterly flawless on the decks. Spinz on the jungle tip will blow you away... none of your UK DnB selectors have got ANYTHING on this man.

I hear Silver1's MC is dreamy.

I may or may not have abused them when they were here. Yellow traffic vests aren't the fashion around here.

For shopping, check out Numb, on Queen St. Across from the CityTV building... SpyLab, also on Queen has some urban type stuff... ask for Stacey when you're there, and tell her I sent you. She'll either help you out extra good, or kick you out. Lots of great shops on Queen St... at BANG ON you can get a custom made "I LOVE MCED" shirt, panties, or headband.

You have to go for Thai food at least once, hit China town (Spadina & Dundas area), go for Jamaican food... it's like London, with bigger cars.

hey everybody. Charlie pointed me in the direction of this thread.
Unfortunately, I was unable to get an air ticket out to Canada for the party, so I won't be able to come I'm afraid. Davespice is in the same boat. Its doubly damning when you consider I actually got lucky in the ticket lottery that was posted up a while back.
I'm really upset as I consider my last 5 days in Canada to be amongst the best I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing.
However, I am sending Charlie Kitten and her bloke James out to represent the UK side of things. Trust me when I say they are MORE than capable of raving ALL night long and keeping the British end up in the manner to which you've become accustomed.
If you see em, go up to em and say hello, a friendlier pair you cannot hope to meet.
Hope the party goes well, going on previous experience, I'm sure it will 8)
