the Toronto rave scene doesn't revolve around HULLAS or the happy hardcore scene...GRANTED, they are the most popular/second popular scene in Toronto...but Toronto is FILLED with other amazing rave productions companies(ie. Nightmare, Destiny, OM, ondafly, bangappt, Guvernment, Zen lounge, BLA, ETC.ETC. TRUST THE LIST GOES ON)... that make up the beautiful rave scene that is Toronto.....

ever been to a BLA or an om party? the psytrance scene is A LOT different than the happy hardcore scene....
whole different people....whole different ball game....

and trust me...even though i love hullas to death(i got my tickets to the final one)....
Hullas IS NOT THE CORE OF the rave scene in Toronto....
there are other scene out there that make up Toronto...
the cyber rave scene, goth raver, breaker, junglist, psytrance..etc.etc.
that's what's sooo beautiful about toronto....raves ARE legal here....hence there is a whole industry catering to each specific genera of electronica.....

if u think that raves are over after july 9th.....

think about it and get outside more....
be open minded....and try new parties.....

okay....this isn't a bitch rant...im just stating that there are AMAZING parties outside of hullas....that you could be/are missing!!!

ie. the free rave movement(for those in the know)
ie. london/ hamilton raves(which are getting popular at the moment-again)
ie. cherry beach parties....

there is a lot more to rave than happyhardcore.........

so to answer your post....TRUST! raves aren't over after july 9th.....
an era is....but not the whole scene...

July 9th will be the last day for raves. The final Hulla will be the the official closing ceremony of the rave movement. Starting July 10th all ravers are urged to take classes in country line dancing. Liquid country line dancing is said to be the next big thing. On the way out the door at the final hulla everyone will turn in their glow sticks on a rope and visor in exchange for a lasso and cowboy hat.

well even though, its been a pet peeve of mine that a lot of ravers only think that hullas are "the raves" for toronto....
there are soooo many sub scenes out there ....
and its really sad a lot of people are missing out because they only like happy hardcore....
whatever happend to being open minded to other scenes and people?

so even though if he was sarcastic.....i just needed to say that.
you happy hardcore kids don't know what ur missing......

you'll miss out on it..and hear about it later and be like, "WTF...where was i?"

i don't think he thought that the scene was over when hulla was (the person who started the thread) i think he was actually trying to find out what other events are out there.....
and the psytrance scene is AWESOME! don't know bout the toronto one but the nyc/philly one is pretty awesome

and even for people who only like happy hardcore, there are already plenty of raves going on every month (at least in toronto) with a good amount of happy hardcore. goodfellaz (http://goodfellaz.ca) and the future perfect synergy (www.futureperfectsynergy.com) have absolutely ROCKIN parties, and there are plenty of other groups stepping up as well. for those lookin for parties to go to after hulla ends, go check out the Other Events part of these boards to find out what's goin down.
