I only went to 2 Hulla's in 99/00.. I beleve they where called "for those who know" and "oh crikey what a scortcher" but I will be emotional for me. I would have gotten up for more but I got pregnant in 2000 and had a kid in 2001. So this will be my first in years. To tell you the truth i'm not a big HHC listener.. I'm a Junglist but the vibe from Hulla is hard to match in my opinion.. so i'm excited!

Personally I think it will be a crazy fun night like no other hulla before just because it is the last hulla. But as for Newbies or Oldies it will be almost the same because For new people they will experience something like nothing else and never get that chance agian. For Oldies it just a ending to a very great thing but of course they'll have a lot more great memories of hulla then just one.

can't really compare hullabaloo to la hacienda

my only concern with newbies is the people who are gonna show up to watch hullabaloo rather than be hullabaloo

not to mention how unkandy they'll be

personally, i'm going to put a lot more conscious effort into being a kandy kid for the next to hullas to try and compensate a bit... and just generally a lot more effort into being the party and being the vibe. though i've been kind of doing that lately as it is, just a little less purposefully... i had a whole cow costume going on last time and i was doing my best to enhance the pep rally too. at least i got a reaction out of knifehandchop, i dunno about anybody else
and i typically do make sure to bring things to give out, esp. to the newbies...
value village is great for that, they sell bags of like 3-5 random stuffed animals for really cheap
and i'll probably sort through my bracelets to make sure i keep the special ones, thing bring every bracelet i've got to help kandy up the kandyless newbs

the point is: rave harder!!! cry at the afterparty! make someone's night, cause you KNOW someone did it for you your first time

Yeah, it'd be nice to see some old faces, which I'm sure I will, but I don't think an Opera House with 800 people who haven't raved in four years would be a real Hulla, whereas an OH full of 800 people who were so excited they bought their tickets within 8 days of the on sale date is going to be FULL of energy.

It'll be weird to be nervous before a set again.

I'd rather party with 800 ppl who partied when 2000 ppl use to go to hullabaloo, than with 800 ppl who have never been to a rave before. How would it not be a real hulla? When I went to hulla 7 year it was so different than when I use to go to hulla's a long ass time ago. I actually think the vibe was better, even considering what a sour-puss I was back then. Old skoolers know how to party, and they will probably buy rounds since its a reunion which means free drinks, new people won't buy us drinks... what good are they!?!?!

How many ravers does it take to change a lightbulb?

5. 1 to change the lightbulb and 4 to remark how much better the last one was.
