First party in 2 years!
I went to Power of Dreams waaay back in '02, and because of financial difficulties, I haven't been able to get back to a party since. I'd been considering Pacific Sun for a while, but I just got an early birthday present from work (I do odd jobs for a fireworks company) and they gave me an entire basket of blinkie goodies, and I've resolved that I simply must attend!
I did have to leave PoD early because I got kinda overwhelmed with everything, but I'm thinking, now that I'm old enough, I can go hang out in the bar area if I need to chill for a few - good idea? I'm gonna need transportation info, such as: If I'm coming in on the lakeshore GO line, what station do I get off at? how do I get to where I'm going from there? Does anyone want to meet up before the party? After? Stuff like that. Does anyone even remember me? (Doesn't matter, just curious) .:Kat:. |

take the Go Train into Union Station.
Walk from Union Station up to Queen St. Get on the Queen St. streetcar, and take it EAST to Broadview. Get off at Broadview, and walk about 50 meters east.. you'll see the Opera House. done and done

Walking through Toronto.. in the cold.. by myself.. after dark..
Umm.. *worried*... Anyone else going this way? I'm kinda nervous about, you know, being mugged.. (and please, no one say "Aww, you won't get mugged" because that's really not going to dispell my paranoia) Is anyone else going this way? Or anyone want to give me a ride from union? |

You could taxi from Union - It'd be about 8-10 bucks including tip.

$10 to queen street, or to the opera house? If I could take it all the way to the opera house, that would be better yet..

10 bucks to the Opera House door.
Union is Bay/Front. Queen runs parralel to Front, about 4 blocks up. so you go North 4 blocks or 30 seconds on Bay to Queen, go East on Queen for about 5 minutes and yu're there. |

Weaver - I'm just a simple country gal. The entire of the big city to the east is a frightening place to me, queen street or not.
Basic - Thanks for the info. I think that's what I'll do. astralkid - Unfortunately, I don't have that going for me. Even if I did, I doubt I could look really imposing in kandi gear. One more question! If I want to hang out in line, but not freeze off my patoot for too long, about what time should I be arriving there? |

TY Peachy!
It's good to be back! Anyone want to get together after the party? Like go grab some McDs breakfast or something? I'm not familiar with the area, so I don't know what there is to do, but that's never stopped me before! .:Kat:. |

If you wanna hang with people, go to the Pizza Pizza meet at 8ish, then you can hang out and not freeze your ass off. The Pizza Pizza is on Queen, a bit before the Opera House, on the other side of the street.
There isn't much to do afterwards in the area. I would suggest either meeting some people at the party who are having an afterparty, or cab back up to union - there is a mcdees there and lots of places to chill out while waiting for the train. |

Carlisle is North of Waterdown, northeast of Hamilton, northwest of Burlington and west of Milton.
It's basically where two roads (Carlisle Rd and Centre Rd) cross. My street address reads Hamilton, but putting that as my location would make one think that I actually live in the city. Which I don't. Basic - Another good idea. You're full of them today, aren't you deary? |
