Ideas, Thoughts, and a Few Words...

First off, it is incredibly sad to think that Hulla will be stopping. Especially knowing that I have only had the opportunity to have gone to one, and realizing that I will only be able to go to one more in my lifetime. (Unless money finally starts growing out of my tree. *waiting*)

I am incredibly hoping that I will be able to attend the very last Hulla, and be able to bring some friends to experience it as well.

Some thoughts: I've noticed that people are worried about not being able to attend the last Hulla based on the concept that the Opera House isn't a very huge venue, and that there will be a lot of people wanting to go.
My personal thoughts on this: why not throw a party two nights in a row for the last Hulla? Or maybe even twice within a week?

Another thought: Is this truly going to be the last Hulla ever? Or why not possibly throw a Hulla once a year as an anniversary?

I know that there has been a lot of work put into Hulla over the years, and I can't say that I know all of the reasons in which Hulla would be discontinued. But why get rid of a good thing? Is it too much? To time consuming? Stressful?

I know that this is even more of a crazy idea: but what if someone could just kind of take over throwing Hulla parties?

I don't really know that anything I am saying can do much, or mean anything to anyone. But personally I hate to know that there is gold in the mountains, and that everyone has to be shut off from it.
I mean, it is up to Anabolic Frolic in the long run. And I respect his choices. I just wish something could be done to keep that part of the scene alive.

Enough said.

Much Love and Respect,
~CrEaMy~ Matt

Sorry for not looking around at the other threads before actually posting. It's been awhile since I have actually posted on Hulla, and found it easier to post my own thoughts, instead of reading 10 pages to see if other people shared the same views.

But thank you for forwarding me that link. And when I get a better chance I will have to take the time to read it completely.

im not sure how much unknown details there are left to reveal

it'll be july 9, 2005 at the opera house, no uk headliner, focussed on the residents instead, tickets on sale february 15 at noon both online and at the usual ticket retailers listed on every flyer, and there will be no tickets available at the door

While nobody could ever quite capture the uniqueness that is HUllabaloo with any sort of imitation, there are a number of groups of ravers - both established and up and coming - working hard to keep the hardcore vibe alive.

Just like in a forest, when the giant tree dies, it opens up space for saplings to grow into giant trees of their own.

Check that out for analogizing Woohoo 3 years of college English!

Anabolic Frolic-
"Well, as I said in my original announcement, we're having 3 more "regular" Hullas, which would follow the usual formula with bringing in UK talent, and then the final send-off which will be a residents night (similar to our Anthems party) since I think it's more fitting to feature the guys who have been part of Hulla all these years and not revolve around a guest dj for that one."

and.. dont forget... once hulla closes shop, it's not as if happy hardcore is going to dissapear.. there are a lot of other fine production companies out there featuring HHC talent all across North America..

it just seems to be that Hullabaloo is the widest known, and most popular, and for good reason.

but not to fret, i am sure you will still see all the regular UK talent every few months...
