my 2 cents
Although this topic has been butchered over and over again, and thoroughly discussed on almost every message board in and around the GTA, I feel the need to bring it up again.
I was recently reading an event in Vancouver, B.C. called “KISS Valentines Massive” on February 08, 2003 The ticket prices were as followed, $35 first 500 / $45 next 1000 / $55 next 1000, more at door. Thus, there would be at least 2500 people attending this party. Personally, I highly enjoyed the large parties which happened in T.O. a few years back and I believe the partiers in Toronto have been spoiled with unbelievably low ticket prices for years. I feel that a price increase, such as that party would be fair for a larger scale event. I would love to pay 20 extra dollars to relive one night in 1999 and bring back some large party memories. Although, I am fully aware of Toronto’s venue shortage and how much harder this is to obtain then slightly raising ticket prices. So please to do not tell me to “throw my own party, if I like them so much” i just wanted to see if anyone else misses the old large party days?

it's a great idea, but not reality... you said it best with, "I believe the partiers in Toronto have been spoiled with unbelievably low ticket prices for years." Now if someone tried to raise prices like you say they'd be accused of being only in it for the money, even though costs for everything else have risen drastically.
