I think I adequately explained why I don't feel a strict age policy is a good idea.
What issues do you feel it would take care of? I'm just curious, because most of the issues I have with the rave scene are across the board; there are plenty of older people being idiots too. About the only issue I can think of is that it would stop parents from coming to our parties all upset because their kid snuck out. > then you should close the bar too.. That wouldn't bother me in the least. Every party we have to kick out a few people who are being drunken jackasses. > I think if you are going to Sell E.. Don't do it for a profit do it so people are safe.. They have to make a profit to justify the risk they're taking. Nobody deals drugs for altruistic reasons. You know, MDMA itself isn't a big deal, allergic reactions are very rare and unless you take too much it's unlikely that pure MDMA will hurt you. The problem is that nobody knows what's in pills. Every time somebody does a pill they are putting themselves at risk. And if they die, they're not the ones who suffer; they've just fucked their family, they've just fucked their friends, they've just fucked everyone who had contact with them (such as the promoters of the party they OD'ed at and the partiers around them who saw it happen). The victim in an overdose isn't the person who died; the victims are everyone who is negatively affected by that death. > Lots of people need drugs to enjoy hulla.. But thats because they think that to be a raver.. You have to be on drugs.. Then what's the point of doing this? What's the point of putting time and effort into it? |

You know, having a narcotics dog be your mule would be an excellent way to smuggle drugs across the border because when the other dogs started sniffing it's ass, everyone would think they're just being dogs.
(I hope that makes sense, I haven't slept in awhile.) |

Unfortunatly, that isn't the case. The majority of people take more than they should, they just don't completely lose it. I've seen people that have been WAAAY too high and should have stopped two pills ago. Not everone is responsible about their use. Also, one batch of pills might have taken you three to get high and another might only take you two. People forget that different batches have different strengths and different chemicals. Quote:
I think that you're living in more of a dream world than Mrs Frolic is. That isn't why people sell drugs. There is a good profit it in and the prices rise when the chance of getting caught rises. Quote:
I don't think he meant that people need drugs to enjoy Hulla. I think that he meant that people think they need the drugs to be a raver. I have friends that think that a raver is someone who does lots of drugs and goes to these "all night dance parties to get really fucked." Unfortunatly, that's how a lot of people perceive raves. And even more unfortunate is that it's becoming true. The first time I went to a Hulla, I was told that it was a drug-fest. I later realized that it isn't true, but that's what I had been told. There weren't any more drugs at Hulla than there were anywhere else. Quote:
I guess me quoting it wasn't enough. If I say it, no one listens but if you say it they do. Alright. Now I feel loved... Last edited by *BunnE* : December 25th, 2002 at 11:14 PM. |

That's absurd. How can a dog be a mule? I bet when someone tells you that your door is a jar, you believe it. MCED |

> this just made my day.
My sleeping schedule has been even worse than usual since Mr. Frolic left. (He had to go to Ottawa for Christmas and is now in Australia, so by the time he gets back, I'll have been by myself for six whole weeks.) My sleeping schedule is usually terrible because I'm on call 24 hours a day, but this is even worse. I think when I wrote that comment I hadn't slept in a good 16 hours (and I don't even use caffiene). Mr. Frolic called today from the airport in Singapore and we were trying to figure out the time difference; he thought it was 13 hours and I thought it was 25. I was convinced it was 6 AM when he called here but no, he was right, it was actually 6 PM. You know your sleeping is messed up when you can't tell the difference between 6 AM and 6 PM. |

Oh yes, and if anyone wants to go hang out, let me know. I'm used to being around Mr Frolic 24 hours a day and I'm pathetically lonely with him gone. All my friends seem to be traveling for the holidays. So hey, if any of you are bored, let me know. Silver1 took pity on me and took me to a movie, but that's pretty much the only human real-life contact I've had since Dec 23. I'm not even making the daily trip to the dog park because Foo is staying with his grandma (in Ottawa) for all of January.

Oh, we love Office Space. I even rented it when visiting my family one time and made them watch it. My mom felt so sorry for poor Milton.
I would never have made the connection, though. |

Sometimes I suspect that the average office job is a lot easier than mine. Do you find yourself coming home after a day of work and sobbing in rage and grief on a semi-regular basis?
