I just wanted to introduce myself to everyone. My name is Michelle & my production co is Funhouse - based is Detroit . I've been part of the Phryl kru stateside for over 2 years. Phil called me and told me of Chris's problems.I was more than happy to help.
It is very fitting that this event be by Funhouse, as I've been through a lot in Detroit trying to work in a underground environment - including being arrested for noise violations! It is my hope that the Police here will come to understand that legal venues and proper security including them is needed to in sure the safety of all .By working with us helping us to control crowds, crime, and drugs. Our culture is based on Peace Love Unity Respect and Family! It is a lifestyle not just words on the bottom of a flyer! When a member of the Famliy is in trouble we all should help. This is our culture and it is worth saving. All my love to the Hullo kru. It is my honour to help in any way I can. love, michelle |

I think a very important question has gone unanswered. I'm not clear on the wristband policy. So now instead of driving all the way to T.O and waiting in line for four or five hours before we can get into the party, we have to ALL drive down at three in the afternoon, go back home and THEN come back down to party. I really think that a representative from particular groups of friends should be able to go down and pick up wristbands for each other (In English can I go down in the afternoon and buy wristbands for myself AND my friends) or are the wristbands going to be good for more that one ticket? Exactly how is this working?
HugzE P.S. Is it perhaps too late in the game to implement a wristband policy? Isn't this almost giving preference to people who live write downtown. I know I'm only coming from Whitby (next to Oshawa) but making the hour drive down there twice in one day seems a little silly doesn't it? Just a thought |

Hey Phil or Michelle, my immediate reaction to the wristbands was positive but as I thought about it I realized that it might cause problems to my plans (and probably many others' too!). My girlfriend, Juliana, and I were planning on going down to the party a few hours early after she got off work. If people are going to line up during the day to get wristbands then I'll be able to get one (in person) but she won't because of her working at 3:00 in the afternoon. I could see a lot of people going early to pick up wristbands because they can and not coming to the party until late. Juliana and I are really looking forward to this party and we were willing to line up hours in advance of the doors opening. This, as previously mentioned, will also be a problem to out-of-towners even though you wanted to do the wristband thing partially because of them. Please post some ideas on how this will work and how Juliana can get in.

this is a very special party. this is all about friends coming together to support each other in one the rave scene's darkest hours.
with the future of the scene in serious danger, who knows what will happen in the weeks and months to come. let's do it up like it's the last hullabaloo. when it's over, i may be in tears. hope to see you all there. peace love unity respect, Klubmasta Will [This message has been edited by Klubmasta Will (edited April 15, 2000).] |

Will is very right. This will be a very special and important party. More so than we could ever imagine. I get choked up and feel fear about my set tonight which I think will be a very emotional time for everyone there. We have no idea what the future holds, and for certain tonite we should be partying like this is the last Hulla. I look forward to seeing everyone there.
ps ; Lesslyn, no ID is needed. Everyone can get bracelets and get in (unless it sells out). So just come by the venue early enough and I'm sure you'll be fine. [This message has been edited by anabolic frolic (edited April 15, 2000).] |

*humps thread*
Step 1 - Get wristband. Very simple. Its red. And it goes around your wrist. Step 2 - Go to Jilly's. It's across the street on the corner. Wait. My theory is that drunken UK DJs won't be able to resist the lure of 100% Canadian Beaver. Its a fact we're known for it. Even if they don't show up, have a beer. Glow unhealthily under the blacklight. Explain to the dancers that posing on Raverporn.net could actually be a healthy career move. Step 3 - Group Hug. If you've gotten this far down, you've read Will and Frolic's posts just above. Read them again. There's a lot of fucking heart these guys have, you want vibe, this party should be the very definition. There's even a vibe *reading* their words, think of when Frolic's throwing down the HHC!! More than words, its about the music. Step 4 - Stumble out in tears with the sunrise. I know I just might. Step 5 - optional - wait for Jillys to open again. Or are they open Sundays? Damn... Anyway I gotta drop off my ho train at some dentists' convention, they're gonna make me a mint off them sick latex-gloved freaks. Porn, Love, Unity, Respect. |

OMG. For those of you who didn't come or didn't stay until the end you missed something that in my opinion happens once every 100 years. Words cannot describe the feeling that was going through the room at 5:55 a.m. In all of my partying experience I've never an ovation of ear splitting proportions for the length of time it lasted. It was a feeling/experience that you can't put a price on and will probably never experience again. Hullabaloo, in it's darkest hour, brought together the most devoted partiers and gave them something they'll never forget.
Thank you Phil for "stepping up to the plate and knocking a home run out of the fucking park" (E By Gum). Thank you Chris for turning around my evening with a simple smile and hug. Thank you everyone else who with every ounce of enthusiasm gave me a party memory I'll never forget. Cheers all |

Well, Tommy pretty much said what I had to say. It certainly won't be a memory I'll forget any time soon. I have never seen such a big response from a group of people that size, I was close to tears by the end.
Phil, thank you so much, you did us a huge favour and a great job in such a short time. We owe you one. Thank you Chris for what you have done for us, it's what brought us all together. Thank you everyone for such a great memory. jellibeen |
