Same field - landscaped much better + 2 new fields in behind that expand the whole size of the camping area and in doing that, increase the size of the party area by getting the camp tents out of there... there is also a new field attached to the far side for RVs

Parking is the same - $20.
I live downtown and have driven there 10 times - 1.5hrs every time... maybe if you drive 10k under the speed limit it takes longer? If there were tonnes of venues/towns that let you play music all night in Ontario they would be in use - why do you think OM was 4hrs away? |

Oh boo hoo - anything less than 4 hours isn't that long of a long drive, suck it up. It seems like people expect WEMF to be in their backyard or somethin

a bunch of my friends have cancelled their plans to attend 3-day simply because it's in bob caygeon.
the only good thing about bob caygeon was swimming in the lake where we weren't supposed to on saturday morning. now that the media knows where bob caygeon is i expect to see more helicopters- YAY! let's just hope that we won't have any reoccuring problems this year. -TASHA!

While my involvement is mostly limited to the Hulla stage, I've been privvy to most of the behind-the-scenes planning going on and I'm very confident this years WEMF will be one of the best organized ones and best overall yet.
The move to Bobcaygeon last year happened a week before the event and everything had to be planned within that week. Now with the location known for several weeks every possible problem has been addressed. Everyone involved is very aware what the response would be to the Bobcaygeon announcement and are making sure that everything runs as smooth as can be. Would the location be made public a month in advance (as advertised) if everything wasn't totally going as planned? Everyone is free to choose to attend or not, and the party will go one without them, but at the end of the day there aren't a heck of a lot of events at this level and I would strongly urge everyone to give it a lot of thought or else miss out. |

meh, im not attending simply because the only dj's there im interested in seeing are lange and pulser, and dont feel like paying that amount of money to see 2 djs. the rest of my time would be spent in 19 plus, and with the normal cost of drinks at parties thats not gonna bloody well happen. and let me guess, they make the shitty coors light cheaper? *hurl*

i for one am happy, it must be [b]hard as hell[\b] to find a city that will accept 12000 ravers, or even be able to hold 12000 ravers. Face is, ravers dont exactly have the greatest reputation around. and for a city to welcome us with open arms just makes the process that much easier. It says the skatepark is open to anyone? what does this include? cause im decent, but if its only a huge half pipe i dont want to end up in the hospital, i mean i will do it anyways, and prolly end up there. But little stuff would be fun toooooo

exactly, us minnesotans would KILL to have this party even 3 hours from us, 1.5 hours from toronto and we have complainers, and you even get a shuttle bus, blah, we never get ANYTHING like this ever, the biggest thing to hit mpls is MOBY with Oakenfold fukin yay, come on guys. You are spoiled, we are going for the Happy Hardcore for the most part as the only hhc dj we have around here is the HardCore Messiah known as DJ SPREE, not that he doesnt kick ASS but we need more HHC than that in our lives....man you have WHOLE parties with HHC we get spree once every couple of months, and he nearly always gets a crappy timeslot! Minneapolis has a fairly good rave scene considering, you guys should be greatful you are in the situation you are in! |

Hey I'm fine with the drive
but the venue is crappy and anyone who is "boo hooing" us about the drive.. I know.. some of you come far but out of those being snippy did u actually go last yr? how was your HIKE with all your gear, and no shade, and u can't go to the beach without paying for parking twice... all i was saying was a diff location woulda been nice.. even if it was as far |

Parking is in/out this year and there is no hike... As for shade, there are lots of trees - the whole place is surrounded by trees! There are more trees at this site than most of our other sites... Obviously you can't have trees in the middle of the field where the stages are - or it wouldn't be an event field, it would be a forest!!
