WEMF Venue Location information
The location for WEMF2002 is in the picturesque town of Bobcaygeon, Ontario. See www.wemf.com for exact location. Bobcaygeon is approximately 1.5 hours northeast from Toronto. If traveling by car or RV, please see the maps and driving directions at www.wemf.com. We also suggest you consult www.mapquest.com if you are traveling from areas not listed in the directions on the site.
By shuttle bus, the travel time would be slightly higher – approximately 2 hours. If you plan on taking the shuttle bus, please see the shuttle bus schedule posted at www.wemf.com. We are happy to announce that both the town and police are welcoming this event into their community. We've fine tuned and addressed every logistical concern we could think of over this past year, working together with the town of Bobcaygeon and the local authorities to ensure that this is the best WEMF ever! Improvements for WEMF2002 · Scheduled shuttle service from Toronto to THE FRONT GATE of WEMF2002 – no more hauling your stuff from the drop off point to the entry gate! · Posted shuttle bus schedules and vastly improved service – no more guessing when busses are scheduled to arrive and depart Toronto or the event! · 24hr Parking lot shuttle to whisk you and your stuff between your car and the front gate as well as back again when you leave – and multiple shuttles to ensure a smooth flow of fun! · Marked and lit foot paths throughout the music and camping areas · Increased door staff to speed entry into the event – no more slow lines! · FREE shuttle bus service to and from the downtown of Bobcaygeon and local beaches throughout the day on Saturday. · Vastly improved event grounds with DOUBLE the amount of camping area from last year through the addition of neighboring fields – no more hunting for a good spot and a much cleaner and organized layout! · Full support from the local authorities and the town. · Free potable water for bottle refills! · Improved RV parking with electrical hookups (available for advance booking through Ticketmaster) – RV parking is on-site this year, not in the parking lot! · Large licensed area for those with ID. · Extended Sunday schedule. Hey, Monday’s a holiday in Canada and now you'll be able to rest and relax before your trip home! · Skate Park & Water Works – need we say more! Please note that the driving times listed on the flyer are incorrect. This is a result of a venue choice we made after printing. When the planning for WEMF2002 began last year, we wanted to ensure its success by obtaining all necessary permits well in advance. We did so at a number of spots with the idea in mind that we would make the venue choice closer to the event. After some problems with last year’s spot we did not initially feel we would have a smooth ride at our first and best choice – the town of Bobcaygeon. In what is obviously a benefit for all involved, we were pleasantly surprised when the town came back to us and welcomed us back into their community. As it turned out, the town of Bobcaygeon and the local authorities made this an easy choice and one we know you will appreciate. |

Parking is about 1 - 1.5 km down the road from the front gates, and they will be having 24hr shuttles to take you between the gates/parking lot if you don't want to walk (just as it says in Destiny's first post). No parking on-site.

Whatever, last year was a cluster fuck at best.
Free parking was $20, water was $5 a litre, fucking lineup was 10 hours long, cops dressed like stormtroopers. Is it what you say it's going to be, is it not. Who knows, right? I think I'll just go to a casino knowing the risks of getting screwed beforehand.

The city has issued a permit and the cops are working paid duty for us, so don't worry - last year is a completely different universe. If it wasn't legit, why would we post it a month in advance?
Also, there has never been free parking at WEMF - if there was, the ticket price would increase... As for in and outs - YES - in and outs by people and cars IS OK!!! |

This had a big part to do with why it's back there. You'd think other townships would clue in that thousands of visitors = $$$$$$$$. The Tim Horton's last year RAN OUT OF COFFEE . |

Arrives where, exactly? Bobcaygeon is the closest venue to Toronto WEMF has ever been hald at - previous years have been 3+hrs away (except Dunnville which was the same distance as Bob). You can't do an event like this in Richmond Hill! You have to be out in the country where you don't bother anyone.... why do you think OM was 4.5hrs away? At least Bobcaygeon is only 90minutes!

if people want to be bitter, fine, but do it somewhere else... i don't think we need a re-cap of last year (hey, i got in before the town tried to screw us and had a great time!).... but seriously, i don't think there is a place in south western ontario that would ok a party because of the crusade like agendas of the mp's and mpp's down here (i'm from windsor... trust me, you think you guys are treated like criminals up there???)
so as long as there still is a party, that's good enough for me. (just as long as someone can justify why "00" flemming isn't here!) hahahahahahaha -the pong p.s.: when are the press passes approved and released? |

I think I'm going to have a lot of fun at this.
I'll be living in the Hulla tent for 3 days straight, if anyone's looking for me.

Bobcaygen again eh?
Sounds good! Other than the 8 hour wait to get through the gates last year, I actually thought that field was a good venue Same field? |
