what happened at the docks happened because someone was very fucking stupid and decided to take a human life.
what happened at the parking garage was accidental, and happened because the venue had no running water, was hot and very poorly ventilated. the Docks is a proven safe venue, the parking garage is a proven unsafe venue.

perhaps my opinion does not fit into this discussion
i would rather not party all summer and wait for the docks to stop being a club than to go to an unsafe or un-secured venue. i know many complain of the docks being overused and old, but it is by far the best venue i have ever been in and it is not really the venue, but the people and the vibe that should make a party what it is. elena |

Yes it was, and it was a fun party too. The only problem with the venue was that so-called "wall" separating the 2 arenas, and there was some soundbleed. The lights in the house room were also annoying, cos by the doors they had some fluorescent lights left on the whole nite. Otherwise a good venue! .oO0QPsykloneQ0Oo. **why not have it away from the GTA... like the Markham Fairgrounds...** |

aight
my bad specs and kwik...
however andy there is always the term you can use with a venue owner if you are doing a charity party IT'S A CHARITY DANCE-A-THON... the Bite The Bullet Crew joked around wit dat for our first party... one trick i've found is to just open the phone book and start calling... i actually think it would be a great idea to take hulla out of the gta for one party... how about THE Inner City... I seem to remember Frolic talking about taking hulla on tour a couple years ago... maybe this is his calling? just my 2.45 cents! Justin |

Im sure Chris and his crew are hard at work trying to find a venue. I seriously doubt he would let anyone down

chris already ruled that out. they are not availible for the dates he needs.. plus it does not hold a couple thousand people.. the WHOLE place is smaller the size of the main room at the docks, which only holds just over 1000 if its crammed... palais royale holds about 400 in the main room comfortably, and maybe 300 outside, with about 150 downstairs. |

if you remember correctly, that was where the unfortunate death of Allen Ho took place, which inturn added a lot of fuel to the fire the city had against raves. I very highly doubt frolic would risk having that happen again. I would put money down that he wants a club style venue. It has worked the best for him in the past with the exception for the stabbing (which the news mentioned the club and NOT Hullabaloo!.. the club also took the rap for it) |

The places that seem good to me through this whole thing is:
1. Pickering flea market (kinda outta the way though) 2. Digital (or whatever 19 Mercer St. is now!) 3. The place off nugget Rd., where the rainy liquid was. (Maybe they could move it inside?) |

True but That was a real party, it wasnt a night club event, it was the way it should be.... oh no we got a little dirty and we had to use porta-potties....but it was real. I hate night clubs and I like other than night club venues... there are ways to make places safe... im not tryin to argue just expressing my oppinion.... that was an accident but look things like that can happen anywhere...I have been to many Spaces like that for the past 7 years and that was the first event that soemthin like that happend you can blame anything ya want, noventilation no running water but out of the couple thousand only 1 major thing happend. I was at DEMF this weekend and somethin similar had happend... lots of ventilation (outdoors) and lots of running water , but it still happend... anyway just my oppinion...I would like to see new non-nightclub venues is the bottom line John |

Oh one other thing I understand everything everyone says about the venue...and when I had mention where A view to a thrill was I meant I LIKED the space and I know they probably wont be able to use that space again, but somethin similar would be nice...

PLUS, is sucks! That venue had a nice outside area yeah - and there were places to sit. I wouldn't mind going there once or twice again -maybe- but the acustics, the floors, the dirty outhouse style bathrooms I mean gAd! "I felt like I was going to turn around and see my grandma playing bingo!" |
