Pretty much.
So many things... from walking in to Sandstorm(maybe a little overplayed, but still a great track)... Silver1 playing that braveheart theme remix... which he also played at my first hulla... elixir dropping the classic trance anthems that were what drew me to raves in the first place... VNV Nation? What the hell? Not that it was bad, the track was actaully really well chosen and fitting for the moment and overall party theme, it was just surprising as all hell to hear at Hulla. Nice thinking outside the box on that one. It was a great party in its own right, but it also nicely summarized all the wonderful experiences I've had at prior hullas and raves in general. Or ignore everything I just said and refer back to your summary "epic". |

A really fantastic night... the same hulla thing again, but somehow sort of concentrated, none of the sketchiness that my memory associates with hullas past, purely positive. Exceeded my expectations and I figured I'd been around enough times to know what was coming
Awesome reconnecting with certain ppl and just connecting with everyone else. I'm glad ppl still recognized me even though I lost my cow hat, lol... I didn't actually catch Robyn's announcement, can someone please clarify for me exactly what it was? All I heard was that it wasn't another baby Oh and thank you so much to D-Minus for playing Take Me Away whether it was cause of my request or not, it was in damn good taste

I totally had a blast. Met nice people in line, nothing but smiles and good vibes inside. Lots of hugs and kind words and "Happy Hulla!" everywhere I turned. Surprisingly clear audio inside. Great decor. TRIP giving out harm reduction pamphlets.
It really was Hullabaloo. Thank you so much, Frolics and everybody. |

In case you didn't catch it, Robin's big announcement was that they are "ready for another Hulla." It was kind of vague, though, and I had a hard time figuring out what that meant exactly.
Then Pete said, "We're gonna have to do this once a year!" *cheers and whistles* So in my memory, July Hullas have been the best, even during SARS, so maybe it will be the second weekend of July from now until the next final Hulla? So it seems like, rave gods willing, Hullabaloo will have an annual reunion for the next few years at least! Last edited by pyrotix : July 15th, 2007 at 04:34 PM. |

Oh, and I'm sure this is a wierd coinciedence, hit a bump and kocked the wires into the right place or something, but leaving the party... my cars speakers actually SOUNDED GOOD. They were so bad over the last few weeks that I was planning to replace them when I get home. Music playing was a vague pointer to memories of hearing the song before, that was abot the extent of sound quality I got out of it. Juggling between blasting the iPod or blasting the speaker amp itself depending on the mood of the sound system to maximize sound quality while maintainting decent volue.
But it's clear now. It almost sounds new. Definitely far better than it's ever sounded since I've had the car(original default sound system, 14 years old, you can imagine how it sounds). I went to hulla with the speakers sounding so horrible that I nearly turned off the radio and drove in silence, all it was good for really was drowning out my muffler. But... after hulla... perfection, or as close as you can get for such an old system that probably wasn't that great to begin with. Wierd. Heres to hoping the extra bumpiness I noted was just crappy roads. Or my drive home might be... interesting. |

The gist of Robin's announcement was, "I only get up here to say really important things, so listen up. I'm not pregnant! *laughter and applause* People have been coming up all night and asking when this thing can happen again, and I think, I think we're ready for another one."
And Pete firmed up the "details", mostly, in his own lovably irreverent way. Last edited by pyrotix : July 15th, 2007 at 04:51 PM. |

To clarify, I and Chris got onstage with him planning to say a few words, and when he asked me if I wanted to say something, I spontaneously said yes. As soon as I took the microphone I realized, "Oh crap, they're going to think I'm knocked up," so I started by saying, "I'm NOT pregnant." And then I just got overwhelmed by the energy of the moment and said, "But Chris has been asking about a second child for awhile now, and I just wanted to say, I'm ready when he is." So that was my announcement, that I think we're ready to start trying for Mini Frolic #2 (Chris has been ready for awhile, but I haven't been).
Then Frolic's announcement was that while he can't promise anything, one thing this experience has taught him is to "never say never", so it's a possibility that there will be another Hulla. |

LOL - yes. That was an entertaining moment.
I just want to say, as it stands right now, there's currently no plans for another Hulla, and there's certainly no expectation of anything annual. But we're not ruling the idea out at this point. |

my friend was asking me what role the MCs played, and I figured it out when they were shouting 'Hullabaloo in 2007!' - its to remind everyone of where they are and what year it is

Shoulders... aching. Ears... ringing. The epic force of this party kicked my ass, and God damn, I love it.

I want to thank all of you on a fantastic night, and I'm expecting more pictures to be posted within the next few days!
And I want to thank Robin again for allowing me to be apart of the FC. It's like nothing I've ever participated in before. Then again, nothing else has that positive Hulla vibe
