Hahaha, no, I've never driven through. I've only been to Florida once, and I was staying in Ft. Lauderdale.

The only thing I experienced was every retail worker struggling to speak English, and some very strange Cuban man cornering me in the record store, pointing out that I liked the "*thump thump thump thump*" music. For about 15 minutes.

True story. Mom thought I was making a friend so she didn't rescue me.

Oh no I definatly don't wave around a confederate flag. I try to distance myself from the stereotypical southern person thing. Well except for the whole southern manners and hospitality stuff. Things like opening doors for women and saying yes ma'am, no ma'am and just trying to be polite and welcoming to others. I'm all about that.

As amusing at that would be, I am actually from New York. A little town about 3 hours from Toronto if you count the time around the lakes. So I was taught to drive from native New Yorkers. I've just been in Florida for long enough to acquire the accent, which I can turn off whenever I want to. And yes, most people in Florida do drive like shit. Gotta love our highway system that we are supposedly famous for for some reason.
