I don't think I will be partaking in any kandi clothing this time around. With Working and going to school full time I really don't have the time to. Beside the fact that was the most uncomfortable piece of clothing I have ever worn. I am going to start making kandi though. I started months ahead of time for AGT and I want to have more kandi this time.

snug_bunny, are you the same snug_bunny that's on that kandi trade message board?
If so your kandi are amazing.. <3 I don't know how to make anything really. Only nicely patterned singles and ladders. I wish I could find tutorials somewhere! |

When me and Brent leave work we are going bead shopping. The cashiers look at us really weird cause we are 2 dudes buying a massive amount of multi-colored beads and other shinny things that catch our eye with big smiles on our faces. Its really funny and we get a kick out of it. We haven't had a candie making night in a while. Me and my crew are super excited to be making candi again.

Yeah a lot of them seem to be missing.. I'll have to check through the threads more thoroughly (sp) There is one thread labelled as a tutorial thread.. but the moderator made a post a few months ago that it was getting cleaned up. As of now there is only one tutorial in it. |

I ordered a bunch of beads off eBay but I'm too impatient to wait for them, so I think I'm going to wander over to the craft store and see what I can find locally.
I'm trying to think up some ideas as well. I'm going to be making kandi like crazy for both this night, and Shambhala later in the summer. I was lazy and only brought about 10 kandi there last year (thinking not many people would want to trade there!) and they were gone within like 10 mins of my first trip to mainstage :P As for an outfit I have some ideas.. but my thinking skills far outweigh my sewing skills. I think I may order this dress I saw on a UK website and customize it once I get it, rather than starting from scratch. I wish I'd paid more attention in home ec! |

oops!
There's one set of auctions that kinda concerns me.. It's a girl in the UK who is selling lots of "new and slightly used" beads. There are some really cute ones in there.. but looking at the variety she is selling.. I think it's all deconstructed kandi. I don't know how I feel about that. I would never take apart any of my kandi. It's really special. |
