How many people...
Will be wearing Kandi at this party?
If you wear Kandi, and you are planning on sporting it at this last event say aye.  I want to get a general idea of how many pieces of Kandi I should attempt to make. And in the case that I have met you before, or have been needing to meet you, or have been helped by you in some way on this board, let me know so that I can make extra special kandi's for you. |

MY god... CARRIE... where have you been.. even my boyfriend mentioned the other day that he hasn't see u posting much lately... we are WORRIED about you. are u ok? !! we love and miss u.. and i just hijacked this thread... WOOT
and Dallas... u too.. give me a call sometime.. =) and now to the main topic.... KANDI... well i have grocery bags FULL of candy at this point... and am planning on making a WHOLE new batch. I don't intend on giving away any of my old hulla kandi.. at lost in space i handed out kandi with cool glowing planets on em... and for those who got em.. they know how sweet they were... as for AGT's, i am planning on making personalized bracelets for ALL my board friends... according to what they convey to me... or their screen name... for example, if i can find one.. i want to make Peachfuzz a kandi with a big fuzzy peach on it... ann arbor, michigan is a total hippie mecca, so finding cool beads is a snap here... =) but those are my plans for the kandi scene... i have yet to decide how i am gonna dress tho... |

and i've already made a few pieces...i really have to get on the ball with making kandi though cuz i only have a couple and everything else is non trade-able.

i agree with her...dont wear anything across the boarder...just dress in regular clothes and keep everything in a bag and you should be fine...

yah i typically put it way under my clothes and toilettries so if they do a quick peek through if you get stopped they don't see it right away

hahah last time we got searched at the border, the looked through our whole HUGE bag of bracelets and beads... just opened it and you could see them thinking "oh god..." rummaged through it a tiny bit and then just closed it up and sent us on our way.

So, I was kind of thinking about it today. But a good idea for anyone that is afraid of taking their Kandi across the border would be to ship to someone who already lives across the border.
I hope that doesn't sound stupid. :P |
