Those of you who were charged, and anyone else you know in the same situation, challenge it. Make them provide you with a lawyer, plead not guilty, appeal, whatever. If everyone does this, it'll cost them thousands and thousands of dollars, and make them realize what an idiotic law this is.
And strip searches and body cavity searches, without just cause, basically amount to sexual harrassment and sexual assault. So exploit that in the legal system. Tear 'em a new one. Everyone who was at ths party, and was searched or arrested without cause.

The American system is all about narrowing in on a few individuals and making an example about them.
"Rights" and "justice" are irrelevant. One example...One of my classmates was in New York last summer to document an anti-Bush protest. They arrested him, took his camera and destroyed his pictures. He was held in jail for a few days. His camera was returned to him 3 months later. He was never found guilty of anything. That is just the way it is. It is 1984.

so check this out.. i spun that night at that club party.
i left at 1:18 am, and got pulled over for nothing other than they saw me leave the club. took me out of my car, told me i was under arrest for delivering drugs, searched me, searched my car, found nothing. instead of taking my car down to the shop to be chopped up and searched or let go since they found nothing... which is what they should of done... i was put in to the back of one of the cop cars instead, and taken to the club in the back of the car in cuffs... they raided it, brought me inside after everyone had been cuffed, and had me get ticketed with everyone else that was inside the club when it was busted! i had been gone for 40 minutes before the bust, and they still threw me in with everyone else... im fighting my ticket, and i already did the petition. im glad the Drug Policy Alliance was notified. ^_^ had to go back to flint the next day and paid about $150 to have my car taken out of impound. luckily my dad came and got me that morning... my poor wife katie thought i was dead -.- btw - i think our tickets are like a $500 ticket! XO

Wow. Wow. I knew things were bad but how the shit does that happen? What is so severely wrong with the law enforcement in this country? Is it any wonder that I have no respect for police, the court system, the government, the president. We can't let them do this!

hehe, well anyways i read the artical and i gotta say that the promoter was pretty stupid slinging drugs at his own party and it serves him right for being busted...secondly it is to my understanding that that parts of the so-called patriot act contain laws to included things like all night rave parties, where as it gives the authorities very open ended legal actions they can presue in raiding a club, the people who are charged and that also thats there problem if you cops raiding in a place no matter how many drugs you have you ide be ditching them to the closest spot i could find or the ground even...how do you explan say you have a drinking problem lol |

here is another petition, it has more of a logical point of view rather than an emotional one.. so if everyone could sign this one too it'd be a big help !

will do.
I know a couple of our localer dj's got busted at this. I heard a rumor that skillz got busted for having a tic tac. Its lame all the way around. Every rave that gets shut down like this should be petitioned. We should all be lookin out for eachother. It should be almost an alliance. Taking the drug alliance and them a step further, making it more of a defense of all raves. Someone to keep eye over everything and further defend our rights even more. So eventually all of these things would just stop happening. Fat chance I know, but hey just my thoughts. I know that if i was ever at a party that was busted i'd want everybody out there helping me out. Just like we're helping these guys out. |

im slotted to play a party in May in Flint, MI.
this is definately not good news. I am told the event was origonally scheduled to be at this club, but they have now found a new venue. Definately not good for the scene in MI

actually at this point we aren't exactly fighting the law. the law wasn't put in place for this purpose at all, and flint police contorted it and abused it to give everyone a ticket they should not have gotten. fighting the law comes later when the ACLU works to change it with our help. |

Maybe you could offer some advice to those who were involved in this since you've had past experiences dealing with the authorities. Some of these people are your patrons as well. Your one line remark about the judicial system doesn't really give these people any guidance, which might be helpful coming from somebody who has dealt with this stuff before. |

the police just find it amusing to bully around people having a good time while they are on a job that involves power and besides it an easy way to get them selves some good drugs for free

Man, this just keeps getting better and better. Skillz is a friend of mine. I just just talked to someone else about it and he did spend the weekend in jail for nothing more than an altoid in his pocket. I really hope everyone fights this thing.
