As long as he varies his set i'd pay to see him spin weekly. I can't think of too many other djs I could say that about.
and yeah, add another vote for NLT vs. Luna C |

Luna-C is very good, yes, but I think as a DJ he's outclassed by No Left Turn. Luna C puts together some brilliant mash-up tracks, and sequences his sets very well, and is well worth the money. But come on. Four turntables? 190+ BPM? Mony Mony? I don't know if there's a hardcore DJ out there who can come close to NLT in pure talent. MCED |

No Left Turn vs Luna-C would be way too extreme for me, and i would probably have to leave the room because of the energy and intensity.

I disagree with you wholeheartedly. Although NLT kicks major ass, and is one of my good friends, Luna-C by far surpasses him in technical skill, producing, and set structure. Without Luna-C there would be no NLT. Those Dj Toolz that Donny uses are Luna-C tracks that he made for the sole purpose of doing creative mixing. Luna-C pioneered the multigenre mash up and has led the way in innovating it. Whe he played Edge of Madness in June of 2003, a set like that had never been played on Canadian soil. Even Toronto quick mix kings, Frisky and D-Minus, were going insane during that set. Zen Lounge seriously was taken to another dimmension during those 2 hours. He inspired everyone in the room (including myself). NLT is a very creative DJ, but technically he clashes melodies alot and some his phrasing can be off at times. Luna-C is the most anal DJ I have ever seen and goes way beyond the extra mile to make sure he doesn't make those mistakes. Both are incredible DJ's, but Luna-C is in a league all by himself. 2 cents.

I know it's been said a dozen times already on this thread but I just want to say it again. The date of the last hulla was announced months and months ago. It was even posted on the I Can't Stop Raving board for months. This is insane. Everyone at Pacific Sun knew about the last date. I think it was even out before the preceding hulla as well. I've been to one destiny party and I had an awful time (of course this isn't Destiny's fault obviously but I still can't believe how they crammed so many sweaty people into the jungle room, it was nuts). Even though WEMF is going to be held 20 minutes from my house [if it’s at the same place as last year], i'm still gonna make the trek out to the last hulla. It will definitely be worth it in my mind.
However, I wonder what will happen if people buy tickets to the last Hulla and then find out that some crazy Hardcore headliner is spinning at Wemf like Scott Brown, Dougal or Omar Santana. Here it is. For most of us, its a no brainer. It just sucks for me because most of my friends don't like happy hardcore as much as other stuff and they will definitely be attending WEMF over Hulla because that's their scene. Oh well, I'll stop bitching. I just hope I hear a few oldschool anthems and I'll be fine. The hardcore stage at Wemf will prob be dead though. Oh and if Frolic is seriously contemplating Teknival, that will be insane. |

Here's the link to my original July 9th announcement made on September 28th, for all the doubters.
Hulla always has been a niche company, no matter how prolific, so don't sweat it if people are saying they're not coming, cause they probably weren't coming in the first place. Fact remains the party will be completely sold out an unprecedented 5 months in advance and it will be a night everyone in attendance will never forget. I'm looking forward to the moment it does sell out so that all the lollygaggers have the decision taken away from them . |

The fact of the matter is that Hulla will sell out before the WEMF lineup is even close to being announced.
Whether it was done on purpose by Destiny or not, it's a totally moot point. Anyone who will be coming to Hulla will already have their ticket before they can be swayed by a WEMF lineup. |

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to discount Luna-C... he's certainly head and shoulders above most DJ's in the world. I was jaw-on-the-floor like everyone else when he threw down @ Edge of Madness. I said before that he's a brilliant producer (Styler Style = *drool*), and set sequencer, and I as well have learned a lot from watching/listening to him. He puts a lot of effort in to what he plays. At the same time, NLT has inspired me in (probably) the same way Luna-C inspired you. I find it ridiculously complicated to play on three decks, yet Donny does it on four. His mixes have kicked a lot of DJs in to overdrive, and some of the stuff that's coming out now (Tranzit's MILFcore, Jarefox's Conform & Be Dull 5, Saiyan's forthcoming material) is heavily influenced by him. It's all a matter of opinion, and I can agree to disagree. Any way you slice it, KFA owns the future. Quote:

not to be a nit-picky little bitch, but isn't it already 5 months ahead of the party (considering we're in the middle of month #2, and the party is in the beginningish of month #7)? Are you alluding to the fact that the party is already close to sold out and people need to get a move on? Really I'm just trying to help out those who aren't so quick at doing the math and need to get a goin... don't miss this kiddies
