that's a pretty narrowminded view of music, and while no artist can appeal to everyone... i'll take guys singing on a clsm track over tranced out girlie vocals anyday.

i never said anything about trance. i'm talking about happy hardcore. the actual stuff.
its not narrowminded, happy hardcore that isn't as happy as possible, totally maxxed out extreme superhappy, its just dance music. happy hardcore is happy hardcore because its HARDCORE about being HAPPY. i dont like mainstream dance music, and thats exactly how this sounds. i dont like most trance, i dont like most mainstream dance, and when the two are fused and sped up, i still dont like it. just cause you call it happy hardcore doesnt make it happy hardcore. un-pitched-up male vocals on happy hardcore is like 140 bpm speedcore - it just doesnt make sense. im gonna end this here since its quite definitely the wrong thread.

so.. what would you consider the following tracks?
pretty green eyes test of time (male vocals sampled at start) hands of destiny (a MASSIVE hhc track, and samples male vocals) all that you see and hear ravers anthem pleasure and pain you seriously cant tell me that when these tracks come on, you dont enjoy it oh.. and sorry to burst your bubble.. but a good whack of hhc is truely male vocals in dance/classic rocks songs, only pitched up, and they SOUND like female vocals

I said "un-pitched-up male vocals" for a reason
and those tracks you listed, i don't like... pretty green eyes has special meaning to me and so a special place in my heart, but its simply the wrong kind of voice for the music. ravers anthem is a totally different story. if you're talking about vocals in a rap-ish way, that's different. i dont consider rapping to be "singing", its rhythmic speech. the vocals in ravers anthem are mc-style, not trying-to-be-soulful stuff. ... pretty green eyes is the wrong voice for the song?? I can't imagine a girl singing those words...at all.
this goes back to another argument but at the end of the day it's all just hardcore and you won't please everyone all the time because there is so much variety in it. I still want to hear Liberation and free your mind |
