I'm really sad that I'm only 16 so I didn't have a chance to be in the scene back then.

numbers 9 and 10 were raging...killer parties...rammed...what special nights...the one year was crazy as well...I've never have really been into "oh back in the days..." type stuff but the early Hullas were really something special and the ones I went to were wicked...I wish I had gone to more...number 5 at The Concert Hall!...oh gosh...a different venue each one for awhile...I have not been for a couple years but look forward to seeing it the company off for all the final events...

Raves are dying because mainstream music is easier to promote and the acts cost the same.. Why pay $6000 for someone to DJ when you can book a live band who brings all thier gear and lights and everything and gets you loads of advertisements on mainstream magazines.. Dj prices should have dropped years ago.. but everyone is stubborn and thinks they should get loads of money.. Well, i've got news.. hulla is one of the last places you can charge $30 to get into.. Most average kids won't spend more then $10 to go out to a "Weird venue with weird music" as they would say.. That is why we are dying out.. plain and simple.. The ends don't justify the means and your Icons (or anyone who isn't seen as a local nobody) think they are bigger then the music they play.. Well I have news for them as the music plummits and attendances plummit.. and record sales plummit.. and Public attention plummits.. and the ammount the promoter can pay the performer plummits.. So will the scene and everyone in it.. from the Promoter to the DJ to the MC to the Producer to the Record Exec to the Label to kid buying tickets. So remember Disco when you think music can't die.
- The End Isn't that the saddest story ever?

Thats gotta be from Hulla 9 - Big Top main room. Definetely a big crowd but not crowded, because the venue was so huge = the first huge step for Hulla. The Hullas before that were the most crowded. I remember how much of a fucking absolute sweatbox 1yr at Ministry was. So many people in such a small venue. |
