ok. in response to this i must say:

1: i never said i wasnt having fun at raves.
2: i am not jaded.
3: i dont hate newbies. the scene thrives on newbies.
4: i am NOT grumpy about the scene.
5: and i am in no way whatsoever associated with ANY of the rave drama thats going on. i happen to know whats going on, but i am not involved nor do i condone any of it.
i was simply stating that i wish i *didnt* know so much; i wish i could go back to that "inner child" you speak of and re-live MY newbie days.
raving is - and always will be - very special to me. its about the music, the vibe, the people and the experiences.
i am what this scene needs more of- someone who tries to create fun times, brings people together, looks above the drama... you dont know me at ALL. anyone who does know me will agree - i am NOT whats wrong with the scene. i should NOT leave it. this scene needs more dedicated people like me.

Kates, sorry, it was a misunderstanding. From what you said, I assumed you meant that things are no longer exciting and entertaining for you. That left me to question why you would still be in the scene. My bad. That was also more of a general statement to the people who sit and scowl and bitch and moan about the newbies, and the childishness and the... etc. I'm sure you can agree. After a while it kind of rubs your nerves raw.
