*sighs* Im actually extremely dissappointed about this hulla ... first of all.. NO JUNGLE.. theres the first bummer..BRING BACK MARCUS!!!!!!!! dammit!!! and to make it even worse.. TWO TRANCE SETS.. ugh trance is soo annoying .. I mean one set is bad enuf.. but I have to listen to two full hours of it.. that is ridiculous.. hixxy and storm is a good thing.. but.. it feels like they were just here.. so iunno its iffy!! .. not sure if i'll be at this party.. most likely I will tho.. ITS HULLA!! ....

This will be my Hulla 1 year/1 year of partying in Toronto.

Not really sure why they don't have a Jungle set, especially for such an occasion, I find the jungle sets at Hullas seem to really stand out. But WEMF is close after this anyways and there will be plenty Jungle there.

I generally feature jungle sets at alternating Hullas. (1 with 1 without). I wanted to have Elixir back for our anniversary, which left me with 1 "non-hardcore" slot left, and Chiclet made a huge impression with her Hulla debut and I wanted to bring her back as well.

While some people would prefer the night to stay hardcore all the way through, I have to look at the bigger picture and realise that there's a large (the majority) of people who don't listen to hardcore 24/7, but enjoy a night out at Hulla. A little bit of variety makes the event that much more appealing. It's been the challenge of programming a single room event ever since we went that way, but obiously we've had years of success with that, so we're doing something right.

Just some insight into these decisions.

Thats understandable and I'm glad you know all this because you're right. Me being one of those people who don't listen to hardcore 24/7.

Hopefully we can look forward to a good jungle set the Hulla after this. ; )

Many or most days I listen to nothing but hardcore, but a hulla that was hardcore from open to close would still be a hulla that you'd likely not find me at.
I hate trance at hulla... as the last set of the night it'd be okay, but when it's like second last it just makes me leave early cause I'm asleep.
But I definitely don't recall any problems with Chiclet sucking the place up last time... I'm quite glad she's back
