Hi, all!

I love reading a good book, especially to chill out the day after a rave or when I'm on an hour long ttc ride. The books I usually pick up were books recommended by people, so please post your favourites

My top two favourite books for the longest time are:

1984 - George Orwell
A Clockwork Orange - Anthony Burgess

Survivor - Chuck Pahlahniuk (He wrote Fight Club!)

yarrr! clockwork orange is great!! one of my all time favorites is les miserables... read the unabridged version, if you have the time (though it's 1200 pages O_o), but the abridged version is ok, too...
another good book that's a bit less deep, but still outstanding, is the princess bride

I've been a fan of Stephen King books. I loved the Stand, IT, Nightmares & Dreamscapes, etc.

Other than that, I like stuff about wars, sci-fi, the future.....anything really. Its all good to me.

currently im reading:
"Adventures of Alice in Wonderland & Through the looking glass"

Its interesting how the author writes, as an opium head his words are twisted, riddled and suck you into the book like no other. You would think this is a children's book, but it's not really at all. (the movie is nothing compared to the book)

"Prozac Nation" by Elizabeth Wurzel.... very good book.

And currently since school's out i can read stuff that doesn't invole thesises (thesi?) I'm reading the "Shopaholic" Series... so good. No thinking involed...just pure mush. I heart it.

tao of pooh Is an excellent book. and what is it, the Te of piglet, or something?

Clockwork Orange is amazing because of the language alone among other things.

Some of my faves are trainspotting and acid house by irvine welsh, animal farm and 1984 by george orwell, anything by kurt vonnegut and douglas coupland, sex drugs and cocoa puffs by chuck klosterman is also AWESOME.

Also if you're into old lit, the book The Devine Comedy by Dante Aligiheri about the pits of hell etc. is an awesome read.

I'm currently reading Porno - Irving Welsh, its the follow up to trainspotting. 10 years later type thing.

Side stepped land mines and working class attitudes. This is a love song...deal with it. Things I dont understand are always the most interesting.

The Tao of Pooh is an amazing book. The Te of pigglet was also good.

I love the Harry Potter series. The Fifth book I couldn't put down.

If you like spiritual life changing books I recomend "The Alchemist"

My favorite book, is by far: The Phantom Tollbooth, by Norton Juster. IT's just that incredible, and it's probabyl a fourth grade reading level, but it's insanely wonderful!
