a whole night of just hardcore can get a little overdue..

as frolic said, the whole experience of having a great HHC set is waiting for it..

a lot of the experience you have (with anything) comes from the fact of the wait for it.

maybe this isn't a good comparison (i'm only using this as i learned this the other day), but in most women, the height of the pleasure (not necessarily orgasm) is over 50% derived from the teasing and excitment up to the point of contact...

so you compare this to you're average rave with a big set coming up. you wait out a trance set, then a jungle set... then BOOM.. first track the hardcore dj lays down is a stormer and out of nowhere you have this insane party..

plain and simple. without kissing ass here, frolic is a very smart promoter, and has an excellent business sense (from what i have seen / witnessed)... just think of it... how many hullas have you seen that have bombed? none to my recollection.. some bad reviews, but it's the only gig in town that has hype everywhere.

when someone says hullabaloo, you know it's going to be a good party.. i don't think anyone else could put that label on themselves.

I'm yet to meet another junglist (myself included tyvm) that is ANY weirder than the candiest of hard core ravers. And some purely hard dark drum n bass is always a welcome addition or "rinse out" to a party (hard steppin is hard steppin yo)
I know just as many people that go nutz when the drum n bass starts pumpin, as that phreak out when the happy gets HARD CORE.

Having a whole night of just hardcore creates a totally different vibe all together! I would much rather go to a party that is all hardcore than one that only has a few hardcore sets.

But hulla does do a good job at mixing it up inside the ride.

Although I don't think you could ever overplay hardcore, I can see how some people would think so.

Hulla does a good job keeping scattered and you're right, part of the excitement is waiting. Plus, the jungle sets give me a chance to go out and socialize.

So either way it works out.

I still don't mind having hardcore the whole time though.
