Well, before crazy rumours spread everywhere, in a nutshell here's what happened;
An ambulance was called for a guy who was tripping out badly, but he refused medical treatement so the police were called. They ended up arresting him and taking him away in their cruiser, to the hospital I assume but obviously he wasn't in great danger if they did it that way. At the same time the opera house security caught some dealers red handed and decided to hand them over to the police that where there, but the police ended up using this against the club as a grounds to shut the party down. All the police were there as a standard response to dispursing a crowd of several hundred people. I should add that there seems to be some sort of existing issue between the police and the opera house as the police were harrassing them the night before about an all-ages pop show. It was decided to cooperate with the police rather than fighting with them since that probably wouldn't help much for the future. Really sucks, but at least it was a great party till all that. |

Geez I left about 3 mins into exlir's set (wanted to make sure I was still awake enough to drive home safely sorry Elixer)
I saw all these cops like about 10 of them outside the door and though they were going to say something to me. they didn't. I was wondering what the hell they were doing there. Other than that great party except for the damn equipment problems. That kinda sucked. BUt hey what can you do? P.S It was nice to meet all of the people I met you know who you are. |

Got a wierd vibe
Just after D-minus set, I wanted to go.. But also I was getting this werid vibe that something was going down.. So me and BunnE decided that we should get up and go.
Shortly after exiting the building we saw lots of police cars coming towards the opera house, I thought it rather funny. I figure it was one of the fucking drunk thugs beat some kid up for his Cheap golden Rolex (Which Someguy tried to sell me in the bathroom BTW :P) Anywho, Very funny how that happend.. All that matters is we got out before all this went down, becuase we would be seroiusly two pissed off ravers right now!! But I have to admit that party was fucking excellent! Everything sounded great.. Minus Dr.Trance who had a good beging to his set but lost my attention just shortly after.. LOL My girlfriend (BUnnE) thought he should have been dressed up as santa clause. Well anyway, Sucks to be shut down don't it.. Better luck next time.. GREAT PARTY!!!

had a really fun night with all my favourtie friends. Too bad it had to end so soon. I hate when parties are done and it's not even light yet. by the time i got home it was still dark everywhere.
What i didn't get was what was going on for d minus' set. it looked like the equipment was not working right. iono. |

I'm sorry, WHAT? Fun night? FUCK THAT!
I had been looking forward to this party since the day after October's Nightmare party. Got my tickets and was counting down the days till the 14th. That day finally came and it started to show signs that worse was on it's way. I met up with some friends before the party who informed me they had been rolled for their cash, along with some other people. That made me a little weary already, so we decided to get straight to the Opera House, figuring it'd be much safer there. No thugs? MY ASS THERE WERE NO THUGS! I got rolled INSIDE THE FUCKING OPERA HOUSE. This was a fucking happy hardcore event, and I get fucking rolled at it. Christ, get some better fucking security. Next up, the music blew. Absolutely BLEW. The DJs there literally TRASHED any good song they put on (ie. Q-tex - Like an angel). Not to mention the Live PA I was really looking forward to was more like some chick with a cold trying to make random noises in a microphone to a beat! Ferry Corsten - Punk? Yeah fucking right, that was a good selection. There were speaker problems, needle skips alllllllll over the place along with other fun sound glitches. Of course no event could ever run flawlessly, but this one barely had anything good happen during it. Most of the people I met were really great... I hope this isn't anything like what the next Hulla will be. PS - I met mrmagoo! -added- I forgot to mention the fact that the party got shut down at 4:50am. Not really anyone's fault by the Cops I guess *shrug*

YAY!!!! Last night was sooooo much fun......after much waiting and waiting.......Matt got the car. We met down by the store at my house, and thta’s when the hulla adventure begins!!!
We start our long trip to TOit’s 8 o’clock, and we’ll get there just in time for the party to start. We managed to take a wrong turn, but got back on track, and we make it to TO and the venue on time. we park and get everything ready and decide it’s too early to go into the party, no one will be there and the music ain’t that great.....so we mission to find a coffee time. We walk back to the venue and get in just in time to get the last 10 minutes of subsonic chronic.....Matt really wanted to hear his set, but at least we got coffee. We see lots of people there we know, Karon (but who knows what happened to him), Carlos, Matty and lots of others. It seems to be a great party! Amazing vibe, amazing sets. My favorite of the night would be DJ Fade (not sure about matts). The parties going great, nothing could be better........then. . . . it’s 4:45 and all of a sudden the loghts go on and the party is over. We all head over to Carlos’ house to chill. It isn’t the party, but it’s better than nothing. We sit and phylosophy( I can’t spell) for a while and take off back home. We get back to my house at 12 and say our goodbyes! What a great adventure this one was!!! In conclusion.......1st hulla (#18) = disasterous, 2nd hulla=too hot and packed 3rd hulla=AMAZING!!! Such a great party, greats sets by all heard (especially fade) and an AMAZING vibe like always....yes I am throughly happy about this party |

Citric Acid: Sorry you didn't enjoy your frist hulla, but I have to argue about the choons.
D-Minus' set was wicked. It kept me bouncing pretty much the hole time. Same goes for Frolic, and Frisky. Your right about the vocals, I was expecting more, but it was still good. I just took the time to cool off during the times I didn't like. Awsome lights, it's getting better, and better each time. *cheers* to all the peeps I met. HAPPY HULLA, and now that I'm home, I think I'm gonna get some sleep. |

Tranzit, out of the 10 or so people I talked to after the party was all over, basically every one of them said they saw plenty of sketchy people aka thugs...
The one that rolled me fit the exact description *shrugs* For me the security was fine, I didnt have a problem, but I really think they should put ROAR into action for once, along with the ever-present No Thug policy. As for the new sound system, the bass was definately banging on the few tracks I did enjoy, and they did sound great over the system. The skips and all that crap can't really be blamed on the DJs but only on the soundcrew I 'spose... When any of the MCs came on the mic, I couldn't understand a word they said, it just seemed to get all distorted and be all bass, so words couldn't be distinguished.... If it wasn't for getting rolled, I would have said I had a good time, cause mainly the people I met were awesome. I need an ID a couple people btw ;P If anyone knows who the guy that had the crazy single string bead necklace and the arm gauntlet made out of beads, lemme know! And last but not least....what was up with the crazy camera guy, the one that took like 20 pictures of the same thing...he gave people a web address: www.pbase.com/raves/ but nothing is up there right now....he's probly sleeping. Check there on monday maybe hehe....he may even include the 40+ pics he took at different angles of some bisexual chicks making out (pippy and....shit i forget.) |

Basically, here's what happened:
Kid tripping out really hard, ambulance called, kid refused to be taken to hospital, police arrested him. Security interupts a drug deal, hands them over to police, police use it as grounds to shut down the party. Pretty lame. :/ Also I heard there were two 10y/o kids at this party, and their parents stormed in and dragged them out. Anyone confirm? |

was it the two 13 year old kiddies running around?
i saw these two girls.. they were both about 4.5 - 5 feet tall max.. i went up to the one and acted all plurry.. - remember.. it's not even 10pm yet, and they were both completely high... just knawing at their pacifiers "hey.. whats goin on... i'm paul.. who are you" "april and julie".. *if i remember correctly* "coooooooooooool... how old are you two??" "13 and 14".. "wow... come to these often?" "no. this is our first one... we love it" "don't you think you're a little young for this kinda thing?" "no... we're mature 13 and 14 year olds" "ummmmm ok.... don't end up on the floor!" that... was sad

those two were really freaking me out. it made me glad my parents were more responsible with me at that age. "We're mature 13 year olds" and "chomp chomp chomp" don't go together so well. I guess children will be children...

its seems like there where 2 pairs of 14 year olds at the party...
and if you think the parents of those who got caught are not responisble then you are wrong. its not fair to assume things like this, not knowing the full situation |

at age 13, your parents (if you live with them etc) are fully responsible for you. You're not an adult by law, and therefore aren't allowed to make certain decisions for yourself. Who else is supposed to held responsible? Those 13 year old girls? They weren't doing a very good job of showing their maturity, as far as I could see. In any case, I'm not trying to start a debate about age, maturity, partying and drugs, etc.... all I was saying was that the situation was uber-disturbing to me. |

Ya what the fuck was up with that? He took at least like 50 shots of me and pointy_sticks without really asking us. I asked him who he was working for and he handed me that same piece of paper with the URL. He was pissing me off.

The parents of those kids were there for a couple hours before they dragged them out of the party. They were just sitting on chairs in the back. I tried to talk them into having some fun to no avail. Later on around midnight they dragged the kids out. The parents being there is better than nothing I suppose.
I found security to be rude this time around...As far as parties go the vibe was good...but it wasn't what a hulla vibe could be. I personally wasn't a fan of the music most of the night...I think it could be that I'm not interested in trance so don't take my opinion too far. What was up with them turning the lights on all the time after 4? It seemed like everytime I sat down to do a light show or something the lights would come on. It just wrecks with the atmosphere.
