Well someone had to make the thread so I figured I would since no one has yet.

I don't really have alot to say about the party, but anything I do have to say I can assure you is only good things. It was absolutly an amazing night, I even found myself up and dancing to Elixer's set which I thought for sure I was going to be sitting out. It was also really nice to meet everyone agian or for the first time. I'll have to meet Seizure some time - I was looking for a guy going absolutly crazy when Frolic dropped Heart of Gold, but lots of people were :P. Anyways, amazing night and probably my favorite Hullabaloo I've ever been to (I haven't been to many but hey!)!

as for my review.. although I couldn't stay to long, the time I was there was tres delish.. Wolf and Silver 1.. nice job guys, really impressed with your dj skills.. first time I ever REALLY watched wolf scratch.. impressive

the decor was wonderful nice job frolic, really liked that lights and general ambiance. and gobstopper... loved the golf outfit.. and I still think that a posse of golfing ravers in golf cloths and BIG sunglasses would be great.. just would love to see some serious golfer get a look at that coming over the green.

Just incase anyone is wondering, yes I’m ok. I had a bad trip which caused an attack of like paranoia/claustrophibia, and basically just needed to get the hell out of there. But ya so I’m fine now. Other than that the party was pretty good so lets get with the reviews.

Ya that was a good party. The vibe was amazing. My only disappointment is that I bought an extra ticket by accident and forgot to sell it in the line. Meh, now I've got an un-ripped Funtopia 7 ticket, so thats kinda cool. I left at 4 cause I was really really tired. Fell asleep instantly once I hit the bed.

The Music: Only 3 or 4 sets save the night....

Silver1 vs. Dj wolf:

OMG, BEST BEST BEST set of the night.... Silver1 opened up with an incredible track and Mc Ed just tore the place with his freestyle ... I totally though Dj Wolf was done for, but man, he answered back to the max and was NOT outdone ... This set just made my night... Silver 1 kept me energized and Wolf kept me bouncing.... and hearing tracks Like A dream was amazing, thanks , both of you.... I call this a tie

Tika and Scoots: I was pissed I missed the first 5-6 mins, but the both of you were amazing too.... the goddess of chese in North America were both shining..... Hearing tracks like Rush Hour was cool.... There is ALWAYS room for more chese

D- Minus: Glad you ended the night cause u were solid from begining to the end, your track selection varied.....

Tyco: A little too hard for my taste.... BUT wholly shit, that track u opened up was freaking incredible .... Anybody know of this track, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE mention it... So incredibel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That track almost made me have a heart attack

Elixir gave me a headache, Hixxy was just TERRIBLE TERRIBLE all in capital letters, god was I pissed off, man quit ahead while you are ahead.... Chicklet was allright, I actually somewhat enjoyed her set even though trance is not my thing, Frisky was depressing and Frolic was weak, even hearing heart of gold was not good enough to save your set

The Mcs: Mc Ed was again freaking amazing, I do not think words could describe his skills, Gobstopper kept the crowd pumping, Mc Jumper and Storm need to start writing new material, shit I dont think its that much work, I do not think u both understand how annoying it is hearing the same shit OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER, Kwik was allright....

And a sidenote: it might acceptable to hear Children of The Night 2x, but hearing heatbeatz 5x was tres annoying......

My boyfriend and i came from out of town for this party.... he from Tenn. and me from Detroit... what..! N e Way.... Got there kind of late... just as Elixyr was spinnin... That set was very good way to get me goin. At this point we were tryin to feel out the Vibe... went up stairs, got a drink, met some people. THANKS to all of u awesome people... who were so helpful and kind. After that was Frisky. Really not my style of music... just lacking as far as i was concerned. Hixxy and Storm definately gave the NRG for the night. THey had that place ROCKIN!!! Frolic as well... both really energetic. The last time i had seen Frolic was at We Are Still Twisted (Detroit) and he was still spinnin wit vinyl back then... was 99 i think!??? he seemed to be more involved in what he was spinning. maybe it was an off night? i'll be back in september to find out. As for Chiclet... yur set was tight.. nice SKRATCH gurl!!!! we left about half way through that... and made our way back to hotel. Everything was amazing... thank you to everyone that we met... and that helped us out throughout the night. What a wonderful group of party kids... I LOVE IT!!!! can't wait to be back... you'll see us...

Its now 9:55 PM , some 15 hours after hulla... i have had no sleep and miss the night past
This was one of the most unique hullas I've been too...
Where to start....
The people were great... however they were far and few between... I understand WEMF is coming up and many are saving for that. I liked the space however, I would trade that for more ppl to talk to altho less ppl meant i got to talk to the same ppl for longer thus remembering them better which was good... its a weird balance... shout outs to follow later on

One thing i did find is that the opera house seemed extraordinarily bright... well brighter than usual... anyone else find this? im sure it wouldnt bother most unless like me they were giving lightshows for most of the nite and thus some of the effect was lost.

I got there late so i missed the first couple sets regrettably ... but i came in late elixir... unfortunately I came just in time to catch Hixxy's set... after i made it through that though the rest of the sets seemed to be as good as if not better as ive ever heard @ hulla... good jobs guys/gals especially anabolic frolic

Another interesting thing I noticed is that at a party that is supposed to celebrate the past 7 yrs everyone i met seemed to be newbies or semi-newbies(this was their 2nd hulla) ... but it was good to see the future of hulla coming up...

Also The majority of people i met were American which was not what i was expecting... I usually only meet 2 or 3 ppl from the states... I met ppl from Kansas, Minneapolis (not sure if thats spelled right, sorry), milwaukee, and a bunch from new york (various places, long island to syracuse), and i think im missing a state/city that had a group of ppl. I hope all of our southern neighbours enjoyed spending their independance day in Canada. I sure enjoyed havin ya here.

So ya all of this made for an interesting hulla experience like none other i have experienced before. Definitely tonnes of fun though... everyone was keeping the hulla atmosphere how its supposed to be.. everyone was nice and friendly and awesome and interesting... etc etc

...and last but definitely not least was the Guy with the Canadian Flag and the Maple leaf tattoo on his chest ( Mike i believe his name was, if not im really sorry, as i sed names are not my specialty) who took the time to teach me about 10 yrs of rave history in T.O.... not too mention sang Oh, Canada! with me ... that was the most memorable part of my nite... thanx man

Not too mention everyone I talked too through out the nite, gave me candy bracelets, massages, lights shows or just put up with my lightshows.

Cant wait to see you guys in September!

After the last hulla, I wasn't sure if I wanted to come back .... but last night all my faith in hulla was restored. I haven't had so much fun in a long time. All the DJ's were amazing, I don't think i've danced that much in a long time.
Plus I had lots of room to dance which was a big bonus.
I'm looking for track listings for the Frisky double CD ....
Next time we need a hardcore set .... HARDCORE.
