carrie, you are awesome. You didn't do anything wrong, and weren't expecting the bidding to go that high. You cannot control other people's actions, and they are the ones who were willing to pay that price for the tickets. Thats the whole point of ebay, people pay whatever price they feel is reasonable for the goods available. At least you didn't buy the tickets for the sole purpose of selling them on ebay for profit, as I'm sure some people did!
