after having attended "raves" out here in california, I would be more inclined to call hulla a rave and the events here "parties"...the parties here draw tens of thousands of people and are EXTREMELY commercial...hulla is still small and relatively underground (if you were to name drop "Anabolic Frolic" and "Paul Oakenfold", more people would react to the latter than the former)...i guess it really depends on your perspective and experiences...i never got to experience the true underground broken-into-warehouses parties, so hulla's a "real rave" to me
but it really doesn't matter...hullas are what they are to everyone, and by and large they're amazing and great and beautiful and wonderful...it's too bad jeffiner can't see it that way
