kandi started a LOOOOONG time ago..

i remember watching a 20/20 report.. or something like that on it way back in the early 90's.. like 93 or so. apparently, it first started as a way for people to recognize dealers, and then people just started making it and trading from there.

but, you can never tell how much validity a report like that has to it.. though i have heard that from several of my friends back in ohio who would've been too young to remember that broadcast, which leads me to believe that it's quite possibly the truth.
