out of town policy?

is there gonna be an out of towners policy? I have a couple friends who might make the drive up from new york city, but they aren't sure yet.

bowzer August 26th, 2001 02:16 PM

Yea, I might buy my tickets online, but if I don't.. Im driving down from Ottawa, we won't get turned away at the door will we?

KarmicKande August 27th, 2001 02:44 AM

im coming from kitchener with a bunch of friends and we had to order our tickets online. BUT, we havent exactly ordered them yet, so now i hafta express money order to get them. will the money make it in time? im gonna send it on monday. but... shit.

London here.

Can I bring my out o town id.. I've never had a problem before! ;)

fLiRtZ August 27th, 2001 07:41 PM

ok.. umm... no one seems to be answering n e of these posts..

so my question is to frolic too, cause there is NO WHERE where i can buy tickets in hamilton (in yer ear is closed down, and dr. disc has none.. and ticketmaster has none either?...) SO, i was wondering if there is any like, list or n e thing the out of towners can go on, so we can...........

1.) get in the party and not turned away
and
2.) perhaps can pay the 20 bucks, instead of the 'more at door' policy, since there is no way for me to get tickets ahead of time <--second one is not TOO important.. but would be helpful since i am on a tight budget...

thnx so much, and i hope that someone with advice can help me.

:)

as I usually do, we'll hold some tickets at the door for out of town people (with ID). However ANY tickets purchased at the door will be at door price since I don't want to discourage people from getting their tickets in advance. There's still time to buy them both online and at numb. I'll probably restock numb as well later in the week if they sell out. They may have tickets up to this Saturday so you can even score them while you're in town.

ghettothug August 27th, 2001 11:26 PM

ya i dont think there's any possible way for me to get one ahead of time....but how many will you sell at the door?

i mean the opera hosue is SMALL!

Grrl2004 August 27th, 2001 11:43 PM

Chris..

If by chance it's not possible to get tickets at Numb on Saturday.. what is the door price.. ?

bowzer August 27th, 2001 11:53 PM

Frolic, Im not quite sure what this means, maybe you could help:

Ticketweb Will-Call Policy
"To pick up a ticket order, you must present the original credit card used to make this purchase.
If you are unable to pick up your order because you do not have the original credit card in your possession at the time and place of pickup, we can not process a refund for this purchase."

Does that mean if I show valid id that matches my name on the list, that I can still get the tickets, but not a refund? because i know my dad wont let me take his credit card to toronto for 3 days...

Everybodies_Daddy August 28th, 2001 12:48 AM

Yeah... I'll be needing 2 or 3 tix @ the door... What qualifies "out of town" anyway? Since tix are being sold only @ numb, what about my weiner friends from Mississauga who don't have a credit card, and are unable to get downtown?? hmmm???

bring a photocopy of the credit card and some id with your mailing address.

Tickets at the door are $25.

How many tickets we have at the door will depend on how many are sold in advance. I don't have much experience with small parties like this so it's very difficult for me to predict these things. Add to this the fact that this is iDance weekend, which makes it all that more unpredictable. Add to that the trend of people buying their tickets at the last second makes it even more difficult to guess attendance and door availability.

Our "out of town" rule applies to people an hour or more from Toronto. They will be given priority when tickets start drying up.

Like I said earlier, I will restock Numb with tickets if needed and they'll be open Saturday tilll about 7. Otherwise get to the venue early.

As we approach the weekend I'll have a better idea about ticket sales and will make a better announcement then. The only way to absolutely guarantee yourself entry is to get your tickets in advance and I suggest you do whatever it takes to do that.

Grrl2004 August 30th, 2001 12:25 AM

London = 2 hours..

Yay.

ghettothug August 30th, 2001 11:18 PM

yep im 2 hours away

and it wouldnt be cool if i got turned away at the door especially since my gf has her ticket and its her last party before she moves out west.

bowzer August 30th, 2001 11:50 PM

I just bought my tickets from ticketweb.com, so all I gotta bring is my dads credit card, and show id that im his son and i can get my tickets?
should i get a note from him too? :)

Britchick August 31st, 2001 01:31 AM

OK, so i am coming from London, England to check out this Toronto rave scene; d'you think that classes me as an out of towner???!!

bowzer August 31st, 2001 12:53 PM

Woah... Britchik, come to the hullaboard meetup, Im pretty sure you'll be the only one there with a british accent, so no need to tell us what you look like! ;)
"Sorry... we cant let you in without id, you'll have to go back to London to get it".

Mrs Frolic September 1st, 2001 12:55 PM

We will be selling tickets at the door at the price of $25. Ticket sales have been good but we did not sell out in advance, so you're all in luck. ;) We will sell to people from anywhere to begin with, but if the tickets are going quickly, we will start reserving tickets for out-of-towners. Come early to avoid disappointment. Hope to see you all there! :)
