ATTN: All OMGH Friendship Crew Members

We are all invited to be a part of the Friendship Crew again in 2008.

Who all wants to participate again?

I would really like to be more organized this time... maybe with matching outfits. :) I am sure we could commission someone to make them.

I am going to collect stuffed animals over the next year and I was wondering is everyone else could do the same, so that we can had them out like the old FC did.

I was also going to buy sparklers for the party as well.

What else was missing from OMGH that the FC normally did?

Any new ideas?

already spoke to robin, mary and i are in once again :) i'm sure kyle is in as well

They used to be on stage and stamp people from there...they did a Care Bear stare dance once upon a time...umm yeah..other than the stuffed animals, I think we pretty much covered it at the last one.

As far as being on the FC crew again..Courtney and I (and our hot friend Jenn Smith) aren't sure what will be happening in our lives at that point...if we are going, I am sure we'd be up for it :)

As far as matching outfits go...Kristine used to be in charge of making all of those herself!

No sparklers, venues tend to be very prickly about anything fire-related (even innocuous stuff like sparklers) nowadays.

Other than that, the stamping and giving out whistles were always FC activities; also throwing stuffed animals into the crowd (IIRC, Kristine would go to the big Goodwill store downtown where you can buy used stuffed animals by the pound for really cheap, and then wash them repeatedly in a washing machine just to make sure they were clean).

I don't feel special for knowing where they came from anymore. :(

Robin Frolic August 3rd, 2007 04:16 PM

Hey, Kristine still had to spend a lot of time poring over the animals, picking out only those ones she deemed worthy (meaning, almost new and with no dirtiness on them). Poor thing would spend hours there, digging through their bins in search of the perfect stuffed animals. And then she'd spend hours more washing them over and over to make sure they were completely good to go. If that isn't love, I don't know what is.

Our pug Foo still has a hullanimal - it's one of his favorite toys. :)

I have a couple too! :)

O.k Mrs. Skittles, we need to discuss outfits :)
I have a lot of really cute animals to give out. Alexis (my daughter) is past stuffed animal stage. She doesn't need more than 10. Plus I'm sure she will get more anyway.

a friend on mine gave my boyfriend a little "popple" doll that has hands which clip onto things while we was suffering from a panic attack at OMGH. It stayed in his pocket for two days and now hangs from our rearview mirror where i'm sure it will stay for a VERY long time.

i have some animals i could donate...

Well If I can make it for the reunion I would LOVE to be in the FC again!!
I think we should have "noisemakers" (you know the paper ones that unravel when you blow on them) instead of whistles. I think it would be awesome to see a room full of paper noisemakers being blown in the air. :lol:

I <3 my Hulla animals. They're all sitting on a shelf with kandi [from Hulla] on their necks ^_^

Hoppapotamus August 3rd, 2007 11:08 PM

I have one too. It's in my ravetastic memorabilia tub.

kylefabulous August 4th, 2007 11:48 AM

i'm totally in obviously...

and as for stuffed animals... i LOVE Mine...

i have a couple of the cool dinosaurs that make rawr noises when you squeeze them!

kandeegirl2 August 4th, 2007 12:35 PM

i still have my hullababear that i got from my first hulla that i tried to catch and missed and this awesome hullababoi i had just got done telling it was my first hulla gave it to me :)
i never slept with a stuffed animal before and after i got him i slept with him for a good 4 years :0
he now sits on my bed :0

~~~ i would love to be part of FC~~~
dianejapa August 4th, 2007 01:06 PM
yeah! totally in
i have boxes and boxes of stuffed animals in my parents basement that i just couldn't bear (ha. bear! stuffed animal joke. lame) to throw out that are perfectly good.
as for matching outfits... let's not all be identical, but maybe pick a color. like everyone in orange. but their own take on head to toe orange you know? i really enjoy spending the time making my outfit my own creation. (i'm not saying it has to be orange. just an example)
so excited!
Mrs Skittles August 4th, 2007 01:54 PM
I wasn't thinking about completely matching outfits. The FC used to do the same fabric, but in whatever style the person perferred.
Using the same color would prolly work out well.
No Typical Raver August 4th, 2007 02:29 PM
i like orange
EvoldicA August 4th, 2007 03:15 PM
^^ Go figure.
I'm down for FC again... Maybe we should communicate somewhere outside of the forum so its a bit more of a surprise to the non FC members as to what is going on?
kylefabulous August 4th, 2007 03:58 PM
thats not a bad idea...
is there a way we can password protect a thread?!
Robin Frolic August 4th, 2007 04:46 PM
Hm. I'll run the idea by Frolic of creating a special FC forum. Check back with me tomorrow.
DJ Tranzit August 4th, 2007 04:57 PM
the big goodwill store is no longer open i'm told
:(
Robin Frolic August 4th, 2007 05:09 PM
Ah. Well, in that case it's a good thing we have some parents-of-small-children on the FC. ;)
I just chatted with Frolic on phone and he said an FC-only forum is totally fine. So I'm going to try to put Moo down for a nap and then I'll mess around with the admin settings, figure out how to put all the FC members into a special category and create a forum only accessible to those categorized people.
Robin Frolic August 4th, 2007 07:27 PM
Okay, the new forum is set up and is only visible to FC members. If you have "Friendship Crew" listed underneath your names when you post, then you're in my FC group; if not, contact me so I can add you to the group.
Edit: Mods are still listed as "Moderator", but you can, of course, access the FC forum as well.
