Longing for Hulla Kids

Does anyone else find themselves calling all of their friends from Hulla in the weeks after Hullabaloo?

I feel like I want to keep that connection going for as long as possible and talking to other Hulla Ravers keep that spirit alive for me.

Mr Skittles July 23rd, 2007 12:37 PM

Mrs Skittles July 23rd, 2007 12:41 PM

When you said "longing for Hulla kids", I thought it was a reference to wanting to get pregnant due to post-Hulla bliss, LOL!

No way... babies are not in my future. I love kids, but motherhood was never soemthign that I really dreamed about. My boyfriend doesn't want kids either, so it works out. :p

It's definitely not for everyone. :) I think if more people realized, prior to having kids, that they weren't really parent material, there would be a lot less abused and/or neglected kids. Unfortunately most people don't put nearly as much thought into the subject as it deserves. :( A lot of people just seem to take it for granted that having kids is just what you do, rather than giving serious consideration to whether they truly want kids and if they themselves would make good parents.

My thoughts EXACTLY. I am a free spirit... and I simply cannot imagine being tied down b/c of a child. Besides the fact that my boyfriend hates children. :crazyeye:

Ditto-I've been on purerave more than I have for years, and realizing the immense value of people that have known you for so long & seen you in various states! !

BUT-when I saw the thread title it made me think of this "hulla kids" incident:

There are some kids in my neighborhood that dress like in a trashy/punk raver style that was sooo un-hulla for me the other day- I was at a neighborhood community garden workshop and these kids are less than 10 ft away from us, yelling words that would make a *sailor* blush, bragging about how much Kandy they got from Hulla.

The poor fella who was doing the presentation was getting drowned out, and everyone did their best to ignore them- I wanted to run over & tell them how un- plurry they were being and setting such a bad example about Hulla..grrrr.

..but I know I'll see them again, and confrontation's not my style...all I can do is chalk it up to age- they seemed to be about 15, so mebbe they're angry teens like I once was myself..
