Glowstick dance off

If you've been checking out the Glowsticks thread lately, you may have seen people talking about a Glowstick dance off. Well, it's been proposed and people seem to be liking it and asking for times so put your two cents in and we'll see what we can do. This is my first Hulla so i'm gonna need the feed back from some of you veterans.

ananee August 26th, 2004 02:32 PM

Not a veteran here... Only one hulla under my belt, but I think it's a great idea, and I want to know where and when it's happening that night so that I can watch and possibly take some pictures.

Yay!

:rotflmao:
A glowstick dance off!? That's the silliest thing I've ever heard. I can't wait to see this!

Weaver August 26th, 2004 02:42 PM

^ hehehe it will be fun to watch!!!!!!!

You guys will draw a big crowd! I want to see!!! I say it should be at the back of the opera house (less people), and probably early in the night or later in the night when there is less people all together in the opera house because it can get crowded and people might get hit (if its poi) and that's not good, and i see you thinking, well what if it's freehand? Well it still takes up more room, so i think its best to wait. Also we could possibly do it up in the bar area (after it closes so i can see maybe please?? :D:D), but i haven't been up there so i'm not sure what room is like. So i'm thinking maybe 10pm or 4am, back of the opera house.

That sounds good... I want a good view too... If we did it upstairs, wouldn't that limit the people involved to only the 19+ crowd? I didn't go upstairs last time so I'd like to this time, but I don't think it would be very plurry to knowingly exclude the young'uns.
Just a thought.

if you waited til after the bar closed maybe frolic would be able to allow all ages up there to do it. theres a decent ammount of space for people to watch and an area thats elevated from the rest where they could do it. i love the idea!

SunnyDays August 26th, 2004 04:40 PM

We're gonna need a judges panel if we're gonna do this right. Or we could just go by the crowds reaction? but if we do that we still need a host

ananee August 26th, 2004 05:05 PM

true that... Gotta find someone with charisma... Maybe some of the friendship crew would want to be judges... hmmmmm....

upinflames1234 August 26th, 2004 05:08 PM

piercedsparkles August 26th, 2004 05:26 PM

itsgigglegirl August 26th, 2004 06:05 PM

this makes me wish i was going with my winners medals (*nudges neverlandgurl*)

:D

skunkdiggity August 26th, 2004 06:26 PM

AH! I'm so glad you guys are doing this! You should have a prize for the winner!

happy1 August 26th, 2004 06:26 PM

i have no hullas under my belt not a veteran, but that is a good idea. myfriends and i had a battle and things got interesting. another thing, hands or strings?

perry461 August 26th, 2004 06:30 PM

Count me in.

SunnyDays August 26th, 2004 06:47 PM

I'd say go with freehand just because more people would be able to partake in the competition. Newbie stickers wouldn't be able to hang if it were strickly poi.

itsgigglegirl August 26th, 2004 07:22 PM

but poi is MUCH cooler

have two different categories for entrants ;)

Now that's using the old noggin! I like the idea

Weaver August 27th, 2004 01:53 AM

after the bar closes (at 2 or 3.. i think its 3) the upstairs is open to all ages. To know if you are allowed up (and underage), look up the stairs, if there is a security guy at the top, you aren't, but when he's gone home for the night (presumably), you can go :D

weava August 27th, 2004 03:52 AM

*raises hand* ill be a judge!!!!

pick me pick me

Sonicjubilee August 27th, 2004 11:47 AM

it would be awesome if ppl could get up on stage

past competitions i have seen were always judged by crowd reaction

how cool if there were prizes, I'll make some phat ass 3-D kandi for the winner

tranceaholic144 August 27th, 2004 11:54 AM

I'm in!!! I'll pwn all you nubz. :D
